That's what I'm afraid of with the leather jacket over a hoodie thing.

I can see how it would work with different pants and shoes, but with my wardrobe -- regular slim fit jeans with MMM 5-zip and hoodie feels very d-baggy.
I feel like you need some Visvim FBTs. Maybe the "Shaman" ones.

dww: I'd just wear it with jeans, your leather jacket and a pair of simple, casual sneakers or boots. Alternatively, just on its own with a grey tee, black joggers and some white high-tops.

So, that first one, he'll just look like any random douchebag. The second one though, he would be just one Rick Owen baseball cap away from needing a severe beating.

Recently bought this Margiela hoodie and like it, but is there any way to layer with a hoodie and not look like a douchebag?

1000

Geller has a pic on his instagram layering over a hoodie with a denim trucker.

Thanks. Also a photo of a bomber jacket over a hoodie that actually looks pretty good. Although I don't know if I have Geller's good looks to pull that off.

Why would he look like a douchebag wearing such a normal outfit...
And if you think he needs beat up for wearing a pair of joggers with a hoodie then you might require anger management counselling.

Sure, I was skeptical at first, but now, one week after receiving my Menswear Dog handbook, I must admit: my workplace fits have improved at least 33%.

Had it, didn't work. I get crazy every time I see that "dark street" look, which means every trade show.

I think Rai's first suggestion is fine, so long as the leather jacket isn't incorporated. A tech jacket would probably be more fitting, or is that too sporty?

Something common I see is pullover hoodies with bomber/denim jackets.

I've seen streetwear shots I've liked with a white oxford or even more dressy shirt underneath a hoodie like that, idk if that's the kind of style you're after though.
(For example: longcoat, hoodie, white shirt, slim jeans, "elegant" sneakers/derbies)

Alternatively: hoodie, some kind of long white underlayer, big pants, shoes with non-slim sole (but that's probably even further away from what you're interested in heh)

Too bad it doesn't have your alma mater printed on it or I would have suggested pleated flannel trousers and shell cordovan longwings
