Lulz...I didn't mean to be flippant - there are a lot of fabrics that look great as a 3"x3" square but then when it's all over you, you realize it's too much. Bright colors like those are often in that category IMHO.

The dull greens on the left hand side could be good, but I think the Drapers dark green I listed is better. If you definitely want linen though, they would be a good choice.

No, no, I totally appreciate the expert input. Il miglior fabbro and all that. I certainly agree with respect to the brighter blue on top. Great color in the abstract but too bright for a jacket. The second one seems more versatile to me. Which is to say, I might manage to wear it twice a year ...

I have a jacket in a similar color I got on deep discount because I'm a Tarheel. I wear it only when watching UNC sports.

^After today's release of the Wainstain report, let's hope that there are still UNC sports to watch. (I'm a fellow Tar Heel).

I love the caccioppoli stuff...but not a huge fan of the gun check that everyone seems to love.

also liked those two green drapers and the brown drapers...

Of course I go directly to the wrong gun club, but the lavender/purple is speaking my language.

On the Caccioppoli navy/blue solaro, what would it take to tack on a pair of trousers?

The lavender purple GC is both somewhat similar and (IMHO) inferior to the Drapers silk and linen blend we just did, so I thought it might be hard to rally people for it.

On the trousers, it can be done, but we have to meet higher minimums to do a group order on trousers. If we get to the point where the Solaro is a finalist, email [email protected] and we can quote you a price on adding a trouser order.

i might be in for a navy hopsack.

to clarify, GMTO means we order a RTW size, right? we're not actually going to get measured and all that, yes?

and you actually order and put in a deposit for items, as opposed to the poll influencing a future buy (and the normal free for all surrounding an NMWA drop ensuing)? :fence:
