Rose 31 for me today. Haven't worn this in quite a while, since I've been on a sampling spree. I've always liked it, but it's better than I remembered, more rosy and less woody. I really like the peppery top.
EDIT: SOTE is Hanae Mori, aka Eau de Skittles

I received 10 of the Le Labo samples as a stocking stuffer. I think it's the Santal 33 that has this powerful reminder of the way Miyagi oysters smell, with what is to me a very evident violet-cucumber note that I've always associated with this oyster. This is not a bad thing but I look at it as how amazingly fresh and flowery these oysters happen to be.

Yeah, it was the edp. The top is really tart and sweet like a Skittles. I actually don't mean that in a bad way; it's a really pleasant, fun, informal gourmand.

Its my alternative to Angel Man. Way less vomit inducing

Has anyone ever sampled Homage or Tribute Attar by Amouage? I'm so intrigued by these scents.
Also, anyone have any comments on Aedes' top 20 frag list? http://www.aedes.com/Aedes-Top-20_c_87.html
The only one I have on it is Musc Ravageur; didn't think it would be considered a top 20 fragrance..
I'm going to NYC in a couple days so I'm definitely going to check out Aedes. I'm gonna sample everything I want

Wow, you can really tell how many women shop at Aedes. Kyoto, MR, and Daim are the only ones I know on there. Maybe the rest of the guys can fill in the rest. The Killian scent blows.

If you're sensitive to nasal fatigue, be warned that the store is carpeted and holds on to all the tester strip sprays. It's like smelling 50 different scents at the same time along with whatever it is you're testing out. My nose shuts down in less than 15 minutes in there unless I make a conscious effort to breathe through my mouth.

SOTD is Tattoo by Michel Germain. Not bad if you like powerhouse scents, especially since it only costs $10 at Marshalls. Reminds me of a toned down Michael Kors.

Terre d'Hermés.

Tried the EDP as opposed to the toilette and really like it. Could finally smell something noticeable.

LM (Laurent Mazzone) Parfums - Black Oud. That's a really nice oud. Lots of incense in the top, the drydown offers vanilla/amber and lots of other woods along with oud. I like oud with amber/vanilla. Good combo.

A*Men Le Gout du Parfum. The first time I tried this, I thought the pepper wasn't blended well with the rest of the fragrance. But now I don't think that anymore; I'm liking it quite a bit. Think I'll start a thread over at BN about the possibility of batch variations!

Creed Original Cologne today - another let down in the longevity department. Very light and fresh but DEFINITELY not worth the money.

Sounds like a good summer scent. Would you recommend it? Is it citrusy?

I'm naturally a bigger fan of heavier, muskier, winter scents but I'ma be moving down to Dallas soon so I need to pick up some light summer scents. I'm sorely lacking on that side of my collection so I'm on the prowl.

I just don't get Creed and its appeal. To me there is nothing in the quality of this brand (complexity, longevity, uniqueness - thought this last quality can disappear quickly with the creation of imitators even thought Creed is often accused of being the imitator) that justifies the extremely high price.

As it happens, I'm wearing a Creed today: Fleurs de The Rose Bulgare. It's a stunningly beautiful bright, citrusy rose.
I agree in general about Creed, but I do think they have some really wonderful fragrances, including Fleurs de Bulgarie,Fantasia de Fleurs, Baie de Genievre, and Acier Aluminium. However their marketing, with their BS company history and their claims to have designed all their older fragrances for specific celebrities and statesmen, makes it hard to take them too seriously.

Paolo Gigli - Scirocco. Pleasing, warm scent. Woody. It had some scents in it which I didn't like too much though - but I'm not sure what they are. Maybe patchoulli? idk

Anyone have experience with both Jubilation XXV and CDG Incense Kyoto 3? I realize they're both made by the same designer and I absolutely love jub xxv. Are they fairly similar?
