Thanks jfrater--it's an unstructured donegal from Samuelsohn sold under the Robert Talbott label. This jacket never quite looks right with just a shirt & tie, so I'm hoping that adding a sweater/jumper will let it show to better advantage.

Brilliant fit today, Spandexter.

In the heads of others as well. It really would make the outfit a costume. At a certain age, for whatever reason, this ceases to be true.
In Seoul I often wore beanies when it got cold. Probably didn't go well with the rest of what I was wearing. But **** having cold ears.

Eh. I mean, Im not committed to making you wear a hat, but the right hat can work for a man of any age, imo. Its more about confidence than anything else, no different than that BnTailor windowpane SC, imo.

Spandexter, I do like that, but Im not sold on the tie and SC. Not sure if its a good low contrast combo, or just not enough contrast.

I really really like this CP, it's great! Reminds me of one fit that SS posted on tumblr that I like a lot.

This one

I'm not sure about it either but I bought that Cappelli tie on a whim some time ago and this is the only jacket I have I could possibly wear it with. At least now I have managed to wear the tie at least once! Might be time to let it go to a better home.

Thanks for all the thumbs though :)

jrafter, I feel burgundy adelaides are best with navy suits or jackets (mostly in heavier clloths, due to their brogueing). Otherwise they're pretty distracting, despite their loveliness. Have you tried that suit with any calfskin captoe kicks in a chestnut (or lighter) brown?

I haven't - do you mean plain cap toe or is broguing okay?

Worsted suits generally go well with plainer shoes; a bit of brogue is OK. More to the point: my eyes see only the tie and shoes. This is not always a bad thing, but in this case I think your outfit might be better with either lighter shoes or plain ol' black.

2nd fit post. @Betelgeuse commented that the jacket is too short, probably due to me crossing my arms in the previous photo. I do think that it is still a tad short, though. Definitely could benefit from a wider tie. Whatdouthink?

P/S: shirt is light blue, tie is burgundy.
