Just voicing my interest in this project; probably in blue as I already have a black moto.

I am personally considering a deep burgundy or dark Olive, but I think that the default will be black.

Are there enough people interested to also do the Cafe Racer?
+1 For Vanson Cafe racer as they appear to be making that rider design available. From what I can tell the initial camo lined models (07/08) used a heavy then a lighter weight leather. The 09 tartan lined was mid weight and the 10 Paisley lined the lightest and cheapest of the collaborations.

I tried on a few C2s today and it pretty much confirmed what I expected. 34 was about the closest thing I could find to a proper fit around the waist, but it was still too roomy in the arms and back. It fits me pretty awkwardly. Provided we get the details and hardware hammered out, are armholes and sleeves something we can modify? I couldn't find a Junya jacket (sorry @LA Guy) I'll try again next weekend.

Yeah, we can modify all of that on the body. Can you translate the pertinent details here for me:

Not many details there on the garment. Only that it's size M and it's just been worn a few times.

Here's another Junya rider - this one is size XS but it has the measurements.
Length 63cm Shoulder Width 43cm Sleeves 60cm Body width 43cm (40 at hem)

I imagine you'd be a M or maybe even L.

If you ship to europe and stay close to the junya version, I am interested.

I will echo Luc's sentiments here. I'm in so long as the fit doesn't deviate too much from the Junya jacket.

Woah, nice to see people back. I'm kinda vascillating between very diff options fore a new rider (SLP, Junya and this one).

Glad to see you're around too, Fuuma. Nice avatar :slayer:

Used Junya riders seem to go between $900-1200 at the moment. It's tempting since I'm looking for a new rider myself, but think I'll stick with this project. Custom orders are always fun and the rayon sleeves vs. full quilted lining is an attractive element, plus it should come in at 1/2 or 2/3 the price depending on what you're able to find.

The C types (1st photo below) represent a pretty standard Vanson fit...a 34 is roughly equivalent to a size 38. Therefore, I'm not surprised that things seemed a little big...

The VAJ-3 types (i.e. Daytona, VAJ-3, etc.) represent a little bit tighter fit...this is the fit we're getting to @LA Guy

You can see the slimmer arms, smaller chest, and straight body in the second photo...

What we need to determine is if we need to go super slim...keep in mind that going super slim will have an effect on the quality of leather that we can use. Usually, it's the case that super slim requires a thinner and more flexible leather (cheaper)...
