One thing you have to realize about LVR is that it is more of a real estate venture than a traditional retail shop now.......they handle the environment and the brands handle the stock - pretty much a high-end consignment shop. Sort of what Bergdorf is doing here......provide shelf space for the big fashion brands, accept a guaranteed payout per season, let the brand manage the inventory, etc. Also, most of the trade in Italy these days for the 'fashion' shops are the Russian tourists - they long since stopped merchandising for American, German, Anglo, etc. visitors............and they never really merchandised for locals.

lol8[1].gif funny to read luisaviaroma on SF. Luisaviaroma made its recent fortune with bloggers, also organizing some events like Firenze4ever. Type it and laugh, so let's say it has a definite target of customers.
It's well known abroad too cause they invite lots of bloggers from other countries to these events, so imagine the traffic their website is lately getting.
It's a marketing strategy, I'm sure they're making good money, but is the unique case of store working in this way. It's a kind of carnival, look at those bloggers, girls and guys

We call it like we see it. I see no need, generally, to slam stores or labels, but I think that kissing and indiscriminately helps noone.. Bloggers who give a brand once reviews for some product or a free trip are selling themselves, and their readers, for cheap.

They fish for teenagers with money. Here in Italy, lots of girls make roads from other cities to buy something in that store and feel like a V.I.P, cause I believe a 70% 80% of girls buyng at Luisa have their own blog, so it means a new post for the shopping day, another post for the new outfit wid the new piece bought....and so on, and they're happy smile.gifsmile.gif
