I find that the older I get the less I like to wear regular silk ties. I am especially down on woven silks nowadays. On the other hand I am wearing a lot of wool ties in winter, some linens in summer and knits all year long both with jackets and suits.

What materials do you find pleasing nowadays?

I've been really enjoying my linen ties this spring and summer. I've also got a few woolens for winter months. I tend to wear both when I'm going for a less formal look.

I find that linen mixed with a bit of silk makes for a better tie than pure linen, although I like all linen, too.

Bought and sol some really nice silk/cotton Attolini ties lately. Also love cashmere/silk and linen/silk.

I am indeed. I love his horse motives. Have you been to his museum in Beijing?

I don't think I have a single one of those, and can't recall even seeing one for sale.

I have a 100% cotton madras (not patch) bow tie I keep meaning to put up for sale, and saw a similar 100% cotton madras necktie. I've seen other cotton neckties as well. Lisle cotton knit ties are also pretty common.
