Eyeing off a navy Formosa, but which one? Is the 12/13oz Minnis noticeably heavier than the 10/11oz birdseye? Note average temps here are usually 44-70 degrees F most of the year. Also tempted by the flannel but perhaps less versatile for work?

Decisions decisions...

I haven't seen the Minnis in person, but the birdseye is amazing. It's still my favorite suit.

I'd say that the weight isn't much different. The biggest differences IMO are that the Minnis is a bit darker and, along with the plain weave (no birdseye), would work better as a semi-formal evening suit. The birdseye is maybe a little more business.

How do you guys size OS sweaters? I am thinking about the grey, blue and red colorblock.

L in IM = XL in OS?

I have that one. I'd say it fits TTS, if that's any help. I don't have any IM, so I can't make that comparison). I'm a 40L, and the medium is a good, trim fit in me. If you're between sizes, sizing up would probably work. I think a L would be fine for me, for example; I just prefer the trimmer fit in this style.

Thanks. Hoping to get a bit more advice before pulling trigger...

Do you own any SS sweaters? If so, what size?

Sage de Cret and Heschung. Get the duffel, seriously, stretch wool is awesome and a godsend in the winter for layering and traveling.

I have the moonless cardigan in size 5. I posted fit pics on Friday. I would say the OS in M might be a touch slimmer than the moonless in 5, but they're such different pieces I'm not sure that's a good comparison. Overall, I'd say that the OS medium and SS 5 correspond well to my default chest size of 40 and general preference for a trim but not super tight fit.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the advice. Any pics of the Minnis in the wild? I've seen a few SF members rocking the birdseye

Hi guys - today is the last day to pre-order the fur-lined parka or field coat you want in the color and size you want. We won't be carrying all of those options and we'll have a small number for the rack (most likely one in each size like last year)
After some delay, I am happy to announce the pre-order for this years version of Sage de Cret's fur-lined parka. In addition to the parka, which has some changes from last years version, we're also doing pre-orders of a "field coat" style as well, which can be seen below. This is a good chance to guarantee that you get one, as last year we sold out of these coats before it was even cold outside. It's also a chance to get a makeup that we may not carry - as with the Schneider Memory pre-order, we will not be stocking all four of the options presented below. Misc. noteworthy details: Materials: Last year was made-up in a washed and dyed cotton, this year is a very unique fabric. In the designers own words "A material made by wrapping a stainless core in nylon cotton and twisting it. A chambray material whose color changes depending on the angle and intensity of light. By using a stainless core, wrinkles remain, giving the material dimension. Closely trimmed rabbit fur is applied to the liner." What this means is that the fabric is now a sort of nylon/cotton twill that has a unique wrinkly characteristic (but not overly wrinkly in the way some of the other treated fabrics we see are). The rabbit fur has been trimmed to an even level throughout giving it a very plush hand and reducing shedding. The hood trim is made of real coyote fur as well (as it was in the past). Fit: Japanese sizing, runs small. Order one size larger than your usual lettered size. I'm wearing a sample size M in all of the below photos, and I'm usually a US small / 36 as mentioned previously. My height is 5'9" for reference of length. Colors: There are two choices for both styles - a sort of olive drab green, and a steel grey. The parka was only sampled in the green, and the field coat was only sampled in the grey, and the photos reflect this, but you can imagine how the inverses might look. The fur on all of them remains the same. Delivery: Fall 2015; likely September or so Timeline: Pre-orders close end-of-day Monday, February 16

How's the sleeve length on the anti-PETA parka (and the field coat)? The FC in particular looks short on Kyle's arms.
They aren't long, but they aren't as short this year either. Just a normal length this time. The sleeves are just a little wonky in that particular photo, and the sweater I'm wearing underneath has double-long cuffs so they keep peeking out. They're actually cuffed on the parka version in the photos we have of that.

And if you want to see how the parka looks sans fur (this is a year-round piece), this dude can model it for you :

I also received high-res photos from the lookbook, so you can see some more professional shots than our cell phones may have taken in the showroom.
