Will T-Michael sell me that scarf please? This man is really pretty fantastic.

I'm surprise it's taking this long for people to come around on the DB. By far the coolest of the preorder offerings IMO. Just hoping Greg offers them again next year when I can possibly get away with another piece of outerwear.

A man's gotta have a DB.

I'm kind of digging the mixed black.

^ That one in the pic is not the mixed black. Would guess it's Salt'n'Pepper.
But guess you knew that.

I did but thanks! My post was ambiguous.

And for @sood here's the linen pub jacket, including a closeup of the sleeve because someone asked how see-through it is.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I was thinking the POW, but would like confirmation as well since I'm digging the look of this one.

But for my above question, let's say a shirt or shirt and sweater underneath a liner. What temp. then?

I can extrapolate for a blazer.

Thanks

Looking at the DB myself. Digging the asymmetrical look. Debating on whether a liner would be a good idea since it seems it would affect the size I choose. I already have the Moscow, so I can't really have two ONE COATS.

@gdl203 - for the SB or DB, say you throw it on top of a long sleeve shirt + mid-weight sweater or lighter jacket like the SS Thinner or a denim jacket, what can you get down to - 40s/50s, or is the SB/DB more of a shell?

I'm not Greg, and I may also have different heat/cold tolerance than you, but if you wear the coat over a midweight jacket like the SS thinner, You should be fine for the 40s, and downright toasty in the 50s.  I mean, it is like a shell, but a heavier, windproof shell.  With a liner, that is a full on winter coat, and it could take you down below freezing, easily (imo), with a knit underneath.

Most definitely. Remember that even without the optional Arctic liner, these are still fully lined and they're not that light of a material either.

Take a look at our site and pics of the SB w liner zipped off and you'll see the ill lining.

Also SB owners can weigh in on the temp question

With a winter weight suit underneath, assuming little to no wind chill, i would go scarf, no NR in the 50s (like yesterday in NYC), add NR SB unlined in the mid 40s and add the liner in the mid 30s and be comfortable in wind and Temps into the teens. I run warm (hence my reference point of no over coat to start). I spent 2 days outside in DC at xmas doing tourist stuff and had the liner in, even in wind, was quite fine, with just flannel and light sweater underneath

Fit pic for sizing help.  Moscow XL on top of a flannel suit.

If not over a suit, I prefer the L for me.
