Hi tonio - according to Valstar the wool is treated to be water-repellent.  But truth be told, I haven't tried to pour a jug of water on it so I cannot conclusively say just how much it does repel water.   It doesn't strike me at all as a coat I would wear under a downpour, but I would probably feel comfortable under the snow.   It is a sweet jacket.

Now, I'll take the opportunity of you dropping by the thread to let you know that we will be adding for spring a brand that has been dear to both of us on the SWD side... I'm excited about that.

Haha, well with a little one running around, you never know when jugs of water will strike, but yeah was thinking snow days. Great looking piece for Valstar right there. I think it's tough to get a down filled jacket to get a slim-ish profile and that one seems like it.

As far as "that" brand, now that is definitely good to hear considering one of the main US stockists recently dropped the line and caused me as well as many others on the SWD side much grief. I'm curious how you will integrate the brand's pieces into your site's aesthetic. Will you also be considering this brand for FW moving forward? You know that's the bread and butter...

tonio knows...

Oh I know, not quite as well as Bo knows, but I know :nodding:

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this question, but I'll ask with my fingers crossed...any chance you will be able to offer trouser swaps for the suits? I'm a drop 11...it sucks.

Oh yeah. That's one helluva piece. Never dropped that much on an article of clothing, but that jacket has me highly considering it.
