Probably not. But because it is big everywhere (rise, waist, thighs, lower leg, etc), it feels enormous. But of course it should, if it is the right size it's 10% too big in every direction. Even two inches in the waist feels big. Factor in the rigidity and it feels bigger.

I left them at the office to avoid wanting to fiddle with them this weekend. I'll snap some shots and take some measurements this week and run them by you before I cut the tags and dive in.

Here are five items I didn't quite sleep on, but others may have.

1) Oliver Spencer's Burgundy Lambeth wool bomber

This was one of the first things I ordered from NMWA. I recall asking Greg whether he carried it because I saw it elsewhere online. It's sporty yet dressy. The first day I wore it, somebody asked whether I just came from church. Great for cool fall or spring weather--or winter if you live in warm climes.

Only one size is left but there shouldn't be any. Somebody in size 44 please clear it out and make Greg happy. Thank you.

2) Valstar's Blue and white cotton/linen glenplaid Valstarino bomber jacket

The full-body pics don't do the jacket justice. It looks like the picture below. The jacket is beautiful, light, and airy. It's great even in 20+ Celsius weather. (YMMV, of course.) Available in every size but 48 and 50.

3) G. Inglese's Pink cotton/linen shirt, spread collar

Not sure if forum members are afraid of pink, but this pink complements every complexion and goes easily with navies and greys. I'm wearing mine this week.

4) Sartorial Formosa's Prince-of-Wales single-breasted tropical wool suit, 9/10 oz super 140s

Why is every size but 54 still available? If it fit me I'd have snapped up a 48. (I need a short and slightly wider shoulders.) Maybe too many NMWA customers work in a business casual setting.

5) Alfred Sargent's Oxblood Russia calf Hunt wingtip oxford

I just noticed that Alfred Sargent shoes are now available in my size (UK 7). Thank you for listening to customer complaints, NMWA. I'm only sleeping on this pair because most RTW shoes don't fit me well, and I've never tried Alfred Sargent. (Can anyone tell me how AS's 109 last compares with EG's 202?)

Cobalt wool with rust. I like it a lot. I'm also a big fan of the grey Harris Tweed which I saw last time I was at NMWA.

Thanks for your help on that. Seller didn't budge so I moved onto a Carmina MTO.

Thought it was cool to see my mug on the gallery page....showed my wife....cursor grazed past the picture....she saw prices....not cool anymore.

I've unfortunately never tried Big John jeans -- so Greg & team would know better than me -- but FWIW, having worn both sanforized and unsanforized denim, I can say that the shrinkage is not just 10% all around. (Or whatever percentage). You'll lose a lot more in length than you will in width. It's not an even shrinkage all around.

I find the process fun, but can also see that some people would rather have the wear-out-the-box experience of sanforized denim.

For what it's worth, if you find that you want certain areas to shrink more than others, you can just hot soak those parts. So maybe start with a warm soak for thirty minutes or so, and see how they fit afterwards, then hot soak what you need. My Asian ass often needs an extra long hot soak on the top block, to account for my concave buttocks.

Personally, I think the best way to tell if you have the right pair is to see if the next size down would fit, and assume that soaking jeans will just bring you to that size.

I went with my Barrie size on the oak brown suede Malko brogue boot. Which is good, because that puts you a half size below me and you won't be stealing my Heschung.

Grey stripes are generally underrated.

And Greg, this is an odd request... but have you ever "modeled" a Camoshita suit? I have always been reticent about ordering Japanese suits (been burned before), so I was wondering how these look on other body types. The only picture I have seen of the Green suit is on Kyle, and he looks good in all NMWA clothing.

The thing about the Camoshita is that it's pretty short. I'm 6'2" and I don't think I can wear it at all.
