a full size smaller from US sizing on the Heschung boot is pretty standard ?

Worked for me, but like I said a few posts up, even though my brannock size is closer to 12.5, I have a narrow foot so I end up wearing a 12 in most shoes. I got 11.5 and they fit great. So if you have a pretty standard D width foot, or if it's closer to the wider side of things, you may only need to size down 1/2. Also, I think my Heschungs were actually tagged 11 inside the boot even though I ordered 11.5, but that's normal if I remember correctly from a discussion a few weeks ago.

^ agree on sizing. 1/2 size from normal US size in standard width. And yes, the inside stamp is the French size. Look at the box and it also shows the US size, which is what we use on the site for selection/purchase

Makes sense, I didn't even look at the box, I was too anxious to pull the boots out and try them on.

Suede Vass arrived today! Thanks for swapping 1/2 size up. They fit great and look amazing! I guess I'm definitely 43 in P2 and 43.5 in U.

I'd prefer it be someone with a size 9 foot so I can pick up some shoes while I'm at it.

Fred - Is 43 your brannock size and you had to size up .5 in the U last?

I'm a UK9 in C&J and AS, in pretty much every last I've tried. The Vass 43 on the P2 last fits fine, maybe even a little big, but I could hardly get my foot into a 43 U last. I definitely needed to size up. Interestingly it fits me very similar to the C&J 348 last, at least in terms of how it feels on my foot if not necessarily in shape. I'll try to take some pics at some point. The suede really is stunning!

Heschung (and Rota)

1000

1000

The heel needs a little breaking in, but ½ size down from Brannock was definitely the right size for me.

The Rota chinos went to the tailor today. Didn't need a thing other than a 0.5" shortening of the hem. Again, the tailor couldn't stop talking about the fabric.

I have to get some Rotas. I slept and missed my size and preferred fabrics this time around.

Speaking of Rota's...anyone miss out on the heavy twills in a size 48? I have a pair itching for a good, and skinnier, home.
