So I tried on the rue sweatshirt again today and was gonna wear it out...

Man, it's kinda awkward. I want to love it because JE stuff is awesome, and it's a different style than the villain...but it's weird

Does it feel like it looks weird because of the cuts on the side?

Yea just the sides. The front zip and pockets don't look bad at all, pretty cool actually. But when I see the overall look from the sides and back...ehh, I'm not sure I'm gonna keep it. Reminds me of a bib...

I think it looks better as a longer piece, where the curve hits at your hips and the rest of it extends below. If the cut is higher up, might look a bit weird.

I know exactly what you mean. Kinda like the cut of the plaid overshirts. I usually wear them buttoned and the curve is a little higher i believe similar to the Rue so it does need a certain shirt underneath obviously. My question is do you think maybe it might look odd because it might need more of a scallop type tee under for layering and maybe reg tee's just dont work well? I have long scallop tee's and short scallop tee's. Machus tee is a little (VERY) long for the overshirt so my shorter ones work better with the 41 plaid overshirts having the same scallop type shape working well together. Interested on opinions on this one.

I got the same machus tee and I just tried it with the long one this morning. I didn't like it with it. Looks better with a shorter one or even a uneck. Doesn't work with a non curve tee

Did any of the new items get shipped out to places like Atrium yet? Definitely gonna need to try them on before buying now.

I feel like this with my 41 overshirt in size medium, I should of went up to size large, I'm 5'10 150. Any shirt I wear for layering just feels weird with it because it's so long.

A lot of these pieces are made to layer with JE tees imo. The rue and over shirt both look ok with a u neck under it ( or a similar shirt).

Im in between sizes but i knew i was probly gonna be wearing them more as shirts than unbuttoned like a jacket so i went to the lesser size(my reg size) instead of sizing up. Ive tried sizing up and it just doesnt give the fit i like. With my 41's the slits are high but the sleeves and stuff kinda fit pretty on so as long as i wear the right shirt underneath it's good to go. Not much give in the 41's haha so the tee i wear under it has to be on the thin side but im hoping when my rue comes in i can make it work.

It's a marketing tactic, and it works.
It'd be great to see the midnight villain and charcoal villain and clash again, but like they've stated many times, we won't.

Did you mean Midnight Blue Escobars? Because the Midnight Hooded Villain is not a limited item.

But yea, the limited releases build hype for future limited releases.

I ordered black and dark grey escobars in Medium, but I found the dark grey to fit a bit slimmer than the black pair. Anyone else have this issue?

I have found the material to feel different (stiffer) on the black vs. the grey. The black stretches less in my opinion. But I didn't notice any sizing differences.

Sidebar- the Loopwheel is definitely much heavier than the regular Escobars. Coming in clutch for this NYC winter.
