So I'm in my 20s and have always wanted a fur coat that didn't look like the vintage grandma coats (nothing against them just not my style). Due to budgetary reasons I was planning on a rabbit coat. I saw a lot of cut ones from china on ebay, but I'm super weary of buying them from overseas on ebay. I found this jacket on amazon for a good price. I just received it today. What do you think cute or not? Styling tips? It would be a jacket to wear to formal events not everyday. http://www.amazon.com/Womens-Rabbit...sr=8-4&keywords=dona+michi+leather+fur+jacket

Sighh.. City Folks.

You spent money on that?!? Take the .22 and head shoot those bunnies. Then throw them in the crotch of a tree so the fleas will jump off as the body cools. Be careful of hawks as they will try to steal the rabbits out of the trees. But you can use the .22 to shoot them too, they taste like chicken which is why I think they are called chicken hawks? Just be careful no one sees you as they are protected even though they are every where now. After you get the bunnies back home skin them cased between the legs and peel the hide off like taking off a tight fitting glove. Then you need to flesh it, remove the fat and grizzle from the underside. After that put it on a stretcher to dry. Once it is dry you can tan it. Put it in the stump of a hollow oak tree filled with water which creates tannic acid. The original vegetable tan method you know? After a couple of weeks take it out and let it dry again. It will be harder than a rock but you can chew it to make it soft. Which is why the Iroquois women had rounded and well worn teeth. Hmmm there are some possibilities there....

After the hide is soft cut the face and ears off. That is called the mask and a hare's ear mask is used by fly tyers for trout. Throw the mask in the blender that you grind coffee beans in and in a minute or so you will have enough to tie more than a hundred flies. And improve your coffee taste too. Then start stitching it together but it does take a bunch of bunnies to make a coat. Or mink, muskrat, ****, etc.

Or you could just take all your fur to market such as in the shadow of Cornell University in NY State and tell the fur buyer that you would like a coat made out of some of your furs. But that would take away from the cash handled over to you. Not worth it to me, but blue bunnies? Maybe LOL.
