I currently wear Darn Tough Vermont Bike/Running socks cushion. They are durable great socks but my complaint is they are too thick. They are way better than cotton socks due to the fact they don't absorb much sweat.

Anyone here used to wear Darn Touch socks and switched over to something more light? I'm looking for a sock that is slightly thinner with some cushion.

I also own the Darn Tough mesh with no cushion but they are too thin.

I really like Smartwool's socks, I've never worn Darn Tough, though I've tried many others. Their PHD light stuff is pretty much the perfect sock with the mesh on top and the padding on the bottom, they do look a little on the sporty side however.

I work in a retail store which sells a lot of merino socks. In my opinion having seen many pairs come back and wearing many different brands, I believe Icebreaker is the best on the market. The Icebreaker socks come in varying weights and heights and are more durable than most Smartwool socks.

I think I'm going to give those a try. Liking what I see on their selection.

Costco 4 pack for about $10

That is one hell of a steal!
