I got a pair cheap offa Gilt when they were still MIJ and had the multicolored button fly; I've had them since 2010 and they're still going strong. Now they're made in China, so I'm not surprised quality has gone down. What's more, the latest jeans lack a lot of the details the old pairs had (including multicolored buttons).

PRPS has several lines: PRPS Goods & Co (made in China), PRPS Heirloom (made in USA), just PRPS (made in Japan), PRPS Noir (made in Japan as well).
They're identifiable by the model number. If it starts with an E, they're made in China. If they start with a P, made in Japan. Not sure about Heirloom and Noir lines, though.
AFAIK the denim in all of them is japanese.

BTW, I have been wearing a raw pair of made in Japan PRPS for well over a year and I've had no problems with them other than a small crotch blowout that I repaired, but that happens even with top repro brands.
They're on the lighter side of the scale when it comes to denim weight, though.

Purple and orange, yes (I've seen purple and white in other models).
BTW I like the denim and how it's fading. I don't know how it compares to other brands, though, as this was my first pair of raw denim and I thought PRPS was a good choice given that I got them for around 150€, and they are made in Japan from zimbabwean cotton and bla bla bla.
What I don't like a lot is the cut, they're too straight for my current taste (they're Barracudas). I would like to have a pair of Ramblers (the tapered model) for my next raw jeans.

Is it really that bad? A couple of days ago, I ordered a new pair of PRPS raw denim in the Fury fit. It's not higher-end PRPS, but I hope the quality is still on point. I already have a pair of predistressed PRPS in the Fury fit, and I'm loving how it feels on me. The fit is perfect.

I picked a pair of these up the other day. I think I like them but because I keep my wallet in my right rear pocket, the folded of the pants is starting to bother me

hi~ can you give some information about their sizing? sizing down 2? I am 78-80cm actual waist (30-31IN),usually wears Levi's 30or31W, which size should I order? 30 or 31?
What fit are you going for? Personally, I found that the Fury fit is true to size. In other words, if you usually wear size 30 in Levi's, size 30 in PRPS Fury would fit you just fine. You can go down a size, as PRPS denim has the tendency to stretch out a lot once you wear them for a while. Although I don't have any in the Barracuda fit, which is the straight-leg fit, I would assume the same would apply. However, if you're going for the Rambler fit, which is the skinny fit, I personally would size up one or two. I don't personally own any in the Rambler fit because I just don't think the fit is for me, but I found that when I tried on size 30 in the Rambler fit, it was way too tight and uncomfortable for me. I apologize for the late reply, as I didn't see your question until now for some reason. I hope that helps you out.
If you're interested, I plan on selling a few pairs of my PRPS jeans, all of which are in size 30 and in the Fury fit. The Fury fit is basically a tapered fit with a relaxed thigh and a narrower, slim-fit look from the knee downward. It's a suitable, good look for me, personally.

The rambler is pretty snug at first. I am normally 33/34 but had to get 36, or so I thought. The waist has stretched tremendously so now I have to wear a belt or my pants will fall down. I should have bought a 34 and let them stretch. I want to get another pair in the Demon cut
