Per my earlier prediction her story arc has fulfilled its purpose with the MLK shooting. Odds are pretty high that's the last of Dawn's character development this season.

Just because there's no where else for her character to go doesn't mean she can't answer Don's phone calls.

Bob Benson making moves...I like him, and there's been a ton of speculation that he's there for anythign BUT his title as an accounts man....

The cynic in me thinks Bob Benson is there for malicious intent. Although that move at the hospital was very slick..

Benson is Draper 2.0. His background and maybe name are made up. Told old money Pete his family always worked at Brown Bros. and told Don that he was from central Pa.

I usually enjoy Pete storylines but I wasn't feeling the whole mother angle this episode. Loved how he exploded at Clara though when he found out Ted and Don went to the meeting without him.

Could Bob be the man we see falling off the balcony in the opening? I know we always assume it's Don, or a metaphor for Don's life, but the writer has made comments Don lives to a ripe old age and the last episode will have elderly Don looking back on the Madison days.

I always thought the guy falling off of the balcony was a metaphor: i.e. without all of the trappings of the job and the prestige and money they bring, Don would have nothing to stand on (no family, no history that he will acknowledge, no real beliefs or solid ethical foundation) and would fall into the abyss. The figure in the animation doesn't appear to jump, he's falling as the structure collapses beneath him.
