Mad Men Season 6 (Begins April 7, 2013) - Page 41

So Don shedding his identity = him finally attaining redemption?

Not sure yet what to make of all that. I'm going to wait for Stitches to comment first. wink.gif

Great episode, loved seeing duck (dead ringer for w bush) back in the building

Where to begin? Everything that was barely hanging on by a thread is totally falling apart, and not just for Don. Next season will be interesting to watch, although I feel like they told half a story this season and left us with a relatively unassuming and unfinished finale.

Loved it. That would have been a halfway decent final episode for the series.

pete was a natural in the west coast, remember when don took off with that weird group of people in palm springs?

pete got those huge government aerospace contracts all by himself (which he eventually had to let go of because of don).

basically he's letting go of trudy (and her forced lifestyle that never really included what pete wanted), don and bob benson (who always will toy with pete because they are more cunning and have nothing to lose). hell all of NYC (his stiff UES upbringing, cramped life, strained family relations) is a shackle.

also pete was portrayed as the progressive of the group with the market analysis showing they would profit from marketing certain brands of TVs to african americans.

of the team that is going to Cali? pete is the best fit. I feel bad for Rizzo though.

Not completely sure, but I think he already washed out in Detroit. I'll bet Bob is taking that account over permanently.

Great finish for the season. Well done. I had my doubts the first few episodes this year but they turned it around.

Yeah these last 2 episodes were just killer. The season felt like it was spinning its wheels for a long time, only to give us Don's long awaited moment of clarity. All he had to do to get there was lose everything.

I got the impression that Pete might have been forced out at SC&P - Trudy's comment "you're free of them too."

I got that impression too since he wasn't at the all partners meeting at the very end.

What's interesting is that two men were denied CA and two men obtained CA. The two men that went slept with Peggy, the two men that stayed had their chance with her and did not.

What's interesting about it?
