Diamond Pointed Black Bow with Peak Lapel Tuxedo vs Butterfly

I'm glad you shared this website. My tux is grosgrain, and I have a Blace Fleexe BB straight batwing bowtie that I like, but I am really liking the texture of the black pique bowtie.  Thoughts?

Personally, I think the cotton pique is too informal (if nice) looking.  Upon closer inspection, I can see that the grain of Cordial Churchman's  faille is too subtle (as noted by Brianpore).

My other options for faille / grosgrain in a diamond point are presently from Le Noeud Papillon (http://lenoeudpapillon.blogspot.com/2012/03/do-you-recall-clarence-carter-bow-i.html) and R Hanauer (http://www.bowties.com/index.cfm/p/products/range/105/cat/341/subcat/0.htm).  The former is exactly what I'm looking for at a price that I can't justify; the latter amounts to settling, which no one wants to do when literally dressing one's best.

Any other options?

So pique is less formal than grosgrain or satin? Or only if its in black?

I have this one, as well as a standard butterfly grosgrain. Much prefer the diamond point.
