Belvest makes wonderful clothing and is an excellent value. I find that I need to size up for the best fit. MAC in San Francisco carries some of their clothing. I especially like their softer construction models.

I love Belvest and have more of it than any other maker. Who is MAC? Wilkes dropped Belvest in 2010 or so.
Barcelino carries it ((or did) but their style is aimed at the Silvio Dante and Tony Walnuts wannabees in
the Bay Area.

The ideal seems like if someone could wear a piece, in their size, and photos are taken. That way we get a sense of what the garment really looks like when it's on. But obviously that's a bit awkward and probably not terribly easy to do.

At pitti that would be like mission impossible. The vendors there are usually very tight ass, excuse my french. I was there with a friend last summer and one booth had a fit and kicked us out because we were admiring the fabric. We weren't even taking pictures!! Given my experience i'm just happy that ANY pictures make it out of there.

At least for me, even the close ups are enough to make me dream.

later. it's the black waxed cotton

Think you mean Belstaff, not Belvest...

Belvest jackets fit me perfectly, no questions asked. I have one that I bought new at Korshak about five years ago, and another that I bought on here used. In both instances, it's like the jacket was tailored for me.
