Not much more information other than USA made for Rothman, and the ACTWU label puts it at somewhere between 62-76, more likely towards the latter. Its constructed to the hilt - very, very well made.

Style points suggest early-mid 70s.

Very nice package of details.

One odd thing is the way the pattern down the center back seam gradually stops matching. Either the wearer's posture was varied, or perhaps the weave of the plaid itself varied over the course of the mill run.

Got this awesome FU windowpane 3 piece USA made suit last week. Dates to late 60s/early 70s (lapels suggest 70s). Love the check on it, flat front pants.

Found this stunning midnight blue tux:

Made in LA by Ronald Reagan's tailor, Albert Mariani.

Just listed a suit with the same label.

Listing includes a link to an article about "Reagan's Tailor" from 1987.

Super Vintage Brooks Brothers Traditional Fox Hunt Pinque Coat. About a size 36...Needs a little love.

Still trying to figure out how old it is.

Follow-up on this.

After 2 months, I have finally heard back from a rep at Brooks Brothers. This coat and label pre-dates their records. I'm now waiting to hear exactly how far back their records go.

While we're on vintage J. Press tweeds: Just spotted this one in the field, 1960s or early 70s.

My favorite thread too, well, next to the other one. These are not suuuuuper old, but old enough, and I think a good example of how shell can come back from the dead. Vintage Florsheim Imperial V cleats with 62 nails on the heel.
