Just fyi, the fringe fit tts but the one you post is oversize. They fit totally different.

For those considering shortening sleeves, there is really a limit of an inch or so to how much can be taken if you take the length from the shoulder (which is the only way to go if there are buttons or other details at the cuff). It will also result in a slightly smaller arm hole.

I'd like to take about a half an inch on my L01 but am absolutely terrified that it won't come back perfect. Anyone have any idea on price? Or where the stores in London send their stuff to be tailored?

London stores use a tailor named Jack Hui on Berwick Street. I've only had basic alterations done by him such as hemming jeans, but I've seen his work on other people's clothes and it seems excellent. Leather is obviously a little more difficult to work on than other fabrics, but he does a lot of them (I've seen lots of Saint Laurent leather items in his shop) so I'm sure it would be fine.

i've been eyeing those rangers for months but everyone seems to diss on the made in spain versions and i talked myself outta it. let me know how they work out for you, i'm curious as to the difference between the made in italy versions.

I pulled the trigger on the dark brown Wyatts after
months of debate between the nut and the dark brown. I had to size down on these mostly due to the new baggy ankle design. I normally wear a 42 but went with a 41 because the suede around the ankle was much tighter and more snug than the 42 with skinny jeans over the top. You could see my boots poking through the jeans on the 42 and looked terrible. So now my toes are tight but the SA said the suede will stretch.

If you can fit a 41 and base your shoe size on ankle design then you are an idiot and have been wearing the wrong size shoes all your life.

Obviously I wouldn't have bought a 41 if they didn't fit. The Wyatts run big in general. It's the difference between a loose fit and a snug fit. Depending on shoes I go anywhere from 41-43, every shoe is subjective.

It's a great question. My perspective is based on NYC; I know the tailor there for SLP and Dior, and she's very good. That said, the SAs always dissuade any adjustment on leather. There's this sense that while it may look perfect, there's a slight chance it won't, and somehow it'd be different. Basically, the other argument against is that if it's only a half inch or so the creases that you develop over time in the elbow joints will pull the sleeves up anyway.

I'm sure that's not the most helpful thing in the world, but if it's still bugging you after all this wear, it's probably worth it to get it tailored to how you like and take the 5% risk that something may be awry.

Great feedback earlier on the peacoat. I don't know what I was thinking and returned it. I already have the duffle coat which occupies a similar place and is stunning and still authentic without being authentic and only bulky.
