I see - thank you for the information. I completely agree: I think they're tricky to make work but if you can, they'll look amazing. I'm looking forward to trying them on.

Since i did some research on my own and found a lot of questions i had myself i share some thoughts:
I went tts with a 44. Normally i'm a 43 a common projects, a 43.5 or 44 in sl sneakers and a 44 2/3 or 45 in adidas & a 44.5/45 in nike. The shoe fits snug, but i still have some space at the front.
The shoe is def. not too pointy, but still has a sleek/sharp shape. I was deciding between the wyatts, Acne Zack's and Common Projects. The CP's were ime a little too bulky and i disliked the rubber sole, the Acne were great too, but i suprisingly liked the 1 cm bigger heel/shape of the sl's way more.
The 3cm heel is not feminine at all in real life, but for someone who is not used to boots it needs some time to get used to. Couldn't pull of the 4cm version myself though...
The price is simply insane for most people, but the quality and the design is next level and there is not really any alternative if u want this shape. I'm pretty sure i'll get tons of wear out of em and already plan to cop another color, since this is hedi's last season.
Anyway, hope this isn't against some forum rules but the info's above would've helped me alot before buying...cheers!

agreed. boots look good.
what jacket are you wearing?

I dont know why the jeans look like that, the ones I have you can see the destroyed parts. In the pictured jeans, when laid flat, look like a simple pair of black jeans. I dont think they are supposed to be that way.

I've never been into watches but ever since Slann identified that Hedi wears a Cartier tank, I've been thinking of getting one or something similar shape and leather strap to better fit the the more classic SLP style. While the big face metal bracelet watches are cool in their own, it feels a bit sporty and modern

Western belt or 3 passant belt?

@nolovelost23 thanks, it's a drkshdw denim jacket with leather arms.

@thorns Maybe u should check out the Junghans Max bill collection too. The automatic is my day to day watch, very affordable and fits great with the classic minimal approach of hedi.

I picked up the western belt first, as I already had a nice belt that looked similar to the 3 passant so I thought I'd deversify a bit. I suppose if I didn't have that one, I'd probably go for the 3 passant first, though after handling the western belt, I really fell for it. It feels so ornate, and I actually don't think it's that hard to pair it with outfits, as it's still pretty slim and minimal. The short answer is, as always, both lol.

My mind is telling me yes but my wallet is telling me no

Dammit I think I should just stay away from both then cuz I'm pretty sure if I get one I'll end up getting both.... And that's kind of how I ended up getting 12 pairs of boots, 10 pairs of denim, 2 flannels and an L01 since FW2014.......

Gonna just stick with my il bisonte belts....if you've ever heard of the brand

Yeah, I've been in that dilemma before. If I give in a little, I'll usually end up going overboard. When it comes to SLP, restraint isn't my strong suit. I'm probably going to grab a 3 passant soon enough. I've been drooling over it for a while.
Those look like quite nice belts. Probably not a bad way to settle.

OnlySLP you've been asking about where to buy the 3 passant for ages, so maybe you should just buy one while it's available. You can't go wrong with it as it's pretty versatile, much more so than the western belt, which I also have and like though. The most versatile of all of them for my tastes are the more basic ones such as the original geometric, or the Saint Germain - both are very understated yet stunning.

Jaco87, the Bowie belt is shiny gold unfortunately. I was 50/50 on whether to keep it as the shape is very nice, but ultimately I decided to return it as the shiny gold just isn't for me. The description says 'aged gold toned' on ysl.com, and all the gold belts on the runway looked like aged brass like the old DH H buckle belts from AW 2005 that I had and loved at the time (see below), so I was a bit annoyed at the change going into production.

Thanks for the feedback on the Sac de Jour bag. It's growing on me more and more. I'm waiting on a couple of grand coming back into my account from some returns so hopefully I can make a decision by that time.

Ya the thing is I don't know if I can't see myself wearing the 3 passant belt other than when I'm wearing my black boots.

What's your opinion on the 3 passant belt and cigar suede boots? I know if I'm wearing black jeans then it would probably look fine, I'm thinking more of a combination of 3 passant belt, light washed blue jeans, and cigar suede boots. Not sure how that would turn out

The Max Bill is my favourite watch, design wise (not a watch expert). I'm not a huge SLP/Hedi fan so I don't even think whether it goes well with that aesthetic or not, but I think the watch is beautiful. And it's around $1k which for the people here used to pay SLP prices I guess is nothing. I also dislike metallic straps.
