Thanks for the reassurance. How's the waist/sole treatment for Antonio's shoes? I suppose it's nowhere as tight as some of the English shoemakers?

So after a couple days of wear I decided that the shape is perfect but they are ever so slightly long causing my heel to slip. Antonio contact me to fix it. Basically measuring the small gap (we're talking in the mm's here) and he is mailing a small piece of leather to be inserted in the heel and fix it. It is probably my fault from the measuring, but he has been extremely helpful and taking note for my next order.

As a reference I've owned AE's in the same size on the same last and had some slip and others not. Not 100% sure why this happens to me. Perhaps the extremely hard and thick callouses on my heels?

Anyway as for the sole treatment it is nothing like what I've seen on some English makers such as G&G. Be aware that I didn't ask for any such treatment (and wouldn't have wanted to pay extra for it) but I'm sure if you ask Antonio for it then it can certainly be done.

Hope that answered some of your questions.

Some of these shoes are simply gorgeous. Am I the only one who sees a lot of Marc Guyot in the design?

The leather is very nice indeed. Finish is absolutely lovely.

Unfortunately I've only had the opportunity to wear my wingtips a few times but they are holding up very well.

For the price, the shoes are phenomenal value IMO and Antonio is a pleasure to work with.

This is stunning! What last is this on?
