Unless they're uncomfortable, I don't think you need it.

They look good in generally and are proportional to the cut of the jacket.

Well if you choose to wear your pants very high, you need to adjust the length of your tie accordingly, no? The "right length" for a tie is primarily determined by its position vis-à-vis your trousers waist.

He does look good (he usually does). But tie is a bit long and a bit wide (take a look at 1st pic). So he could look even better just by retying that tie !
