I just sold something to an overseas buyer who's requesting I mark value down for customs. Can I still insure the package for the final sale value if i mark it lower on the customs forms?
Advice please. Just "sold" a pair of shoes on EBay. Auction ended yesterday. Sent buyer an invoice more than 24 hours ago. No payment yet nor any response to my query whether he wants the shoe trees. How long do I wait? Never had this happen. What are my options? Negative feedback? Thx for any thoughts.

If you mark it down its a federal offense, don't screw with the post office. If he mentions it in feedback or leaves you anything but positive just contact ebay and have the look at that message which is trying ti illegally circumvent import fees. Shouldn't be an issue to just send it as if you never even saw he request or saw it after it already shipped.
24 HOURS. OMG!!!!
Try to keep in mind that most buyers are not on eBay constantly like we sellers. Also that many buyers are using bidding robots to do last second bidding for them, that they may have set up a week in advance. I'm sure some folks have their ebay accounts still linked to old email addresses which they seldom use and are probably filled to the brim with spam mail.Advice please.
