lol...really?

I remembered as I was launching. lol. But, I have a contingency of people who like to pounce on stuff when its listed. So I figured then if you all were waiting an hour to list, I could corner the early money market. :teach:

I just sold something to an overseas buyer who's requesting I mark value down for customs. Can I still insure the package for the final sale value if i mark it lower on the customs forms?

Advice please. Just "sold" a pair of shoes on EBay. Auction ended yesterday. Sent buyer an invoice more than 24 hours ago. No payment yet nor any response to my query whether he wants the shoe trees. How long do I wait? Never had this happen. What are my options? Negative feedback? Thx for any thoughts.

For a while I was on a quest for a very specific version of the Gucci bit loafers (the old, old design with the round toe, medium height vamp and normal sized/low heel), as I came to learn the sizing is all over the map for these, and for many you can't really tell until you try it on.

So I have a handfull of pair that don't fit that I'd like to resell on ebay to recoup some of my costs.

Here's the problem, on a couple pairs the writing on the insole is worn down enough that there's no recognizable brand name. I worry that if I sell these either buyer will supect they are fakes and not bid, or that so unscrupulous buyer will buy and then claim that they're fake.

Is there anything I can do to be able to list these?

Simple, don't mark it down. That's his problem.

You'll be waiting a minimum of a week (open unpaid case at day 4, close 3 days later) to relist your shoes if he doesn't pay and then you won't be leaving him any feedback. Learn to enjoy it.

If you mark it down its a federal offense, don't screw with the post office. If he mentions it in feedback or leaves you anything but positive just contact ebay and have the look at that message which is trying ti illegally circumvent import fees. Shouldn't be an issue to just send it as if you never even saw he request or saw it after it already shipped.

24 HOURS. OMG!!!!

Try to keep in mind that most buyers are not on eBay constantly like we sellers. Also that many buyers are using bidding robots to do last second bidding for them, that they may have set up a week in advance. I'm sure some folks have their ebay accounts still linked to old email addresses which they seldom use and are probably filled to the brim with spam mail.

I give the buyer 11 days to pay. Ebay automatically sends the invoice when the item sells. They also automatically send a reminder after 2 days of non-payment. After 4 or 5 days, I send my own reminder invoice. On the 7th day I open a case and send a friendly email letting them no they still have 4 days to pay. After 4 days the case can be closed and the item can be relisted. This works well for 10 day Thu to Sun listings.

Always puzzles me why some bidders do this. This guy bid 51 times in a row. I suppose he thinks the BIN price is a reserve or something. There is no-one else bidding yet.

He must really want it bad! I just need another person who really wants it bad to come along.
