Out for the night in a bit, 10 deg C angry.gif

Back view and close up

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

YYPH AW10 4.1 The Men Raw Edge Long Coat ( HC-C05-107 ) - 100% wool, soft hand and more delicate than 100 gab. The black iteration of the white coat on Runway. Size 2, very generous fit, dropped shoulders ( no pads ), fully lined in dark purple cupro.Yohji buttons, 5B closure, long 2B working sleeves, chest and bottom pockets flapped. Short deconstructed peak lapels, back vent. The best bit being the random frayed finish on all the edges, very Japanese and Avant Garde. Drapes superbly.

YYPH AW11 Look 14 Cherry Skeleton Knit ( HP-K15-187 ) - made in China though quality indistinguishable. 55/25/20 wool/acrylic/alpaca black mid weight fabric but densely knitted. Size 2, long silhouette and sleeves, long roll neck ( folded once here ) Red cherry pattern on chest and white upper limb skeleton on sleeves. The skeleton has a curved configuration so even with arms straight it gives the illusion of a bent limb, interesting.

YYPH SS06 Multi-pocket Pants - ( HR-P55-100 ) - 100% signature wool gab, size 2 TTS fit, multiple waist pockets. Good versatile pairing pants.

SS Tee, CDG H+ Belt, Dr. Martens 1460 Mono 8 eyelet leather boots.

Those pics have me drooling even more right now. If this was my size would have picked it up at the original price wire had it listed for no joke. Guess it is having difficulty moving on SZ because it is not black?

EDIT - That coat is one of my grails David. Looks really nice on you. Sleeve length is just perfect. Would like the white one I think though, hehe. How warm is it? Cherry knit is cool too.

Wore this outfit a few days ago -

SS00 blazer with multiple hidden pockets (wore it before with the matching wide and cropped pants)
SS12 look 1 reversible shirt (wish this fit me even more oversized, but love it anyway)
AW08 multi pocket pants
Burberry Prorsum sandals

Very nice fit Ivwri as usual. The aw10 coat fabric is the same as the aw10 military SB/DB red coat ( black iteration I posted ), softer & perhaps thinner than 100 gab. The coat is almost a trip down memory lane in terms of fit, huge for a sz 2, proper dropped shoulders, perfect for layering.

I suspect ( whisper ) maybe, just maybe, wire's blazer will have been sold instantly if it comes with the pants ( a suit ). However it should work well with other pants. Looking at the pics Ivwri you should acquire it, looks like it will fit you. nod[1].gif It beats any current AW or SS stuff in terms of construction and fabric.

Happy to see some activity here. I can attest to wire's ss09 jacket being absolutely mindblowing in person, definitely anyone should consider picking up.

Gorgeous fit, Ivwri, fantastic silhouette. The pants look amazing on you, the whole thing is beautiful really.

Same goes for David's coat, for sure one of my top picks from aw10 (and I love pretty much the whole collection). The oversized fit is incredible in person, it's one of those pieces that pretty much never goes on sale but I'm always keeping my eyes open for. it came in 3 fabric iterations, all beautiful but gabardine being the best of the bunch (of course!).

Thanks man. I should ask actually, any idea what fabric the white version of that coat was made from? Would be good to know in case it ever does turn up for sale some place hehe.

Well, will send a PM to wire and see how it goes biggrin.gif. Now that I have a pretty good selection of black jackets and pants want to add some lighter colours to the wardrobe.

It's at a friend's house, that photo with the columns and the potted plants is in the compound. Was shooting some stuff for the publication at his place. The swing in the background of the last photo was actually made by his sister for an exhibition she had a few years back. It used to have grass growing out of the seat smile.gif

Buttoned look

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

YYPH SS11 Shirt-Jacket ( HO-B26-100 ) - non-Runway piece, the code ( B- ) and cut say shirt, the fabric ( 100% wool excellent 100 gab ) and construction shout jacket. Old school size 2 huge fit, dropped shoulders, long sleeves, chest >56cm. Minimalist construction ( unlined, simple notch lapels, 4B closure, buttonless sleeves ) with chest patch pocket and 2 bottom side pockets. Signature twist....the back with a long split from shoulder blades to bottom via 6 hidden ( smaller ) buttons. Worn open front and/or back, worn closed front and/or back, so many silhouette variations. Simple yet intriguing.

Y's Yohji Yamamoto AW05 Pitti Uomo Leather String Shirt - ( MN-B14-017 ) - Ex-Asobu ( and thank you, it's in a good home ) 100% great shirting cotton. Brilliant white ( the camera over-compensated for that hence darker everywhere ), size 3 fits like a PH size 2, minimalist design ( stitchless button placket, pocketless ), bespoke silver buttons, 7B closure, great collar. The Yohji twist being 2 long leather strings to vary the silhouette via 16 eyelets on both sides. I am normally a tuck-shirt-in person but I make an exception for this top piece.

YYPH SS06 Pants - ( HR-P14-005 ) - posted before, 100% cotton, size 2 huge waist, metal button on back pocket.

YYPH AW11 Monkey Boots - ( HP-E05-754 ) Size 2, 15 eyelet lace closure, nubuck like leather, side zips.

White SS Tee, CDG H+ Belt

Seriously Yohji should start making little Yohji plushies (and other "little Yohji" merchandise) and sell them via the flagship stores, pretty sure he will solve any possible financial woes he may still have with just a few variations.

Really cool coat David (outfit is very sweet too). Looks like there were a few pieces from SS11 that had functional buttons at the back of the tops that didn't show on the runway? I have a long sleeve tee that is like that (also my favorite t-shirt) and now with your own long shirt/over shirt/jacket that makes two. Like everything I have seen from the Y's pitti uomo show would love to lay my hands on a shirt from that collection as well.

I would totally buy a Yohji plushy

Thanks Ivwri, that thing is huuuuge, sleeves rolled 3 times and like I said chest is at least 56 cm, so maybe it's OS but in sz 2? Really great old school fit. I thought originally it's Look 32 but later comparing codes mine is def non-Runway, just looked very similar.

I also have a Pitti Uomo Leather String Lapel blazer, the best thick flannel wool. But beware of the fit, size 3 only just fits me.

A caricature Yohji was used proudly in Y-3 AW08 back then. I have a white SS Tee with him at the front, funky.
