So, if Meermin indeed has nothing to do with Carmina (other than family relation), wouldn't it be wise to edit the title to limit confusion to a minimum?
Carmina and Meermin. Members of the Albaladejo family own both companies, but the relations stop there. The two hold different products, are owned by different people, and act as different operations.

Fit reasons. While others rave about the Hiro last, it seems to be a bad fit for my foot. I find myself needing more width in the toebox. Aside from that they're great

Just got my Meermins in on the Olfe last. I wear 11.5 D US (e.g. on the AE 5 last) and ordered the 10.5. So I went down one full size from my US size. They fit a bit snug, but in a good way. The toe box is perfect for my foot. The sizing was on Jose's suggestion after sending him measurements of my foot, based on a pencil drawing.

This is the 12153-Y style in dark brown suede. The color is more accurate on their website.
Like most everyone else, I think these are great quality for the price. And the customer service was superb.
Exactly. But to me, 2nd brand implies that they are in fact produced by Carmina.if you read this blog http://dieworkwear.com/post/16011578554/affordable-european-shoes-meermin

So I guess they are simply owned by the same family but has completely different operations.
