Let me check with Carmina, it's very possible that they still have some left in tan. All of the grey is gone. I'll get confirmation and then we can build it out. I agree - it would look great in the Lama, and since it's going to be a very rare leather, this would be the time to do it.
Just for reference, it's not a scotch grain, although it does have a cool texture. It looks like this:
It's a new model - the PTB on the rain last. Done in Navy Shell. Imagine this handsome guy with aged brass eyelets and a medium brown sole for some contrast... I've got about enough Navy Shell to do 8 Bal boots and another 8-10 shoes.
Didn´t see this in teh MTO list. I would be very interesed (since Carmina can ship direct). Is the make up set or is this up for debate? Would like to know how brass eyelets and mid brown sole looks like. What will the price be?
Hey Mike...looks like you're enjoying yourself over there...these new makeups all look so enticing. I like the austerity boot in Burgundy. I think its the only Carmina shell color I'll be lacking pretty soon. Keep kicking ass man!
Does Carmina have an in house recraft service? I don't mind taking them elsewhere but Carmina's rubber dainite is a perfect combination of style and function. Never seen a thinner rubber sole offered anywhere else

Could you have sized down on the Forest last by 1.5 sizes??? I'm wearing my Robert lasted boot and it fits a little loose (sized down 1)
Almost certainly no. I have gone with 10.5UK in a wide fitting on the Forest vs. a Brannock sizing on the wider size of 11D (it's why I like these MTOs). I buy Barrie 10.5E and 11D. I have the Forest in 11UK and 10.5UK regular fittings too. The 10.5 just barely works for me. Not that comfortable. I had to go with 11UK on the ruby captoe on the Queens.
