Hahaha! That was so intense. I wanted to feel bad for the girl but I just had to laugh.

I watched the first season. It was ******* horrible, so I couldn't get enough of it. It conveniently condensed and packaged everything ****** about the art world into forty minutes. My favorite part was when they went to an Audi dealership to get inspired. My next favorite part was Miles playing the tortured artist role, as if he was allergic to society. My next favorite part after that was when that chick with fake **** made art about her fake ****. And my next six or seven moments were when she did the same in the next six or seven episodes. Then in ended, and a guy that knows nothing about art won.

I honestly think it can bridge the gap between art lovers and art h8ers.

Bill Powers is the only person on the show I came away liking in a non-ironic way. They also need to give the artists more than 36 hours or whatever they did. It makes it interesting, but not in a good way, because they need to raise the standards of art so the show becomes less of a joke.

Yeah, he had some decent things to say but his gallery is really trendy. They show Vice Magazine art. I liked some of Saltz's criticisms on the show though I think he is not a good critic in general.

there's a contestant who insists on being called sucklord.

Two episodes in. This is embarrassing.

I saw that fake boobed Jaclyn girl at a Starbucks across the street from FIT last spring. She was really, really tiny...Not that pretty imo.

The premise is absurd -- can you really discover a great artist via a reality-TV competition? -- but the show is watchable. Some of the contestants do have talent.

If I just let them go at whatever they do in their real work, they would probably come up with some stuff I'd want to put in my apartment. My biggest gripe is that they all possess the stereotypical inclinations of the ****** youthful artists you'd expect to find in Williamsburg, in that they have a habit of needless countercultural provocation, as if they believe that adding ***** or political undertones lends gravity to the thought process, seriousness, or critical merit of their work. But this is isn't Appreciation. You can't just add *** and call it a day. They also would be better off just keeping their mouths shut, because almost every sentence they say gives either the impression that they put zero reflection into their work "Like, yeah, I'll make something out of trash!!11" or that they can't accept the marginal impact of their work "I was trying to change the world with this still life painting of a gourd."
