I am not a big fan of pointy shoes, but recently couldn't resist buying a pair of Pawelk's ( they were on great sale, 70% off or something), they are black lace-ups, very simple, (but the leather sole is left unpainted, so its tan, which IMHO allows wearing brown belts which I like), quality is so good you can dance in them all night. Do you think I can wear them with jeans? Now I wear them only with pants. Thanks.

The rule when wearing jeans with dress shoes is to ensure that no laces show when you're standing and that the jeans are tight and do not bag over the shoes, unless you are wearing flared jeans. Also, if the shoes are black and shiny, you have to stick to a black and shiny belt, preferably the exact same material. I've never heard that you can match to the soles of the shoe, but maybe I'm wrong?

I guess you are right about matching to the sole, its just I got this dark brown Armani belt with sterling silver buckle and I like it so much that I'm ready to wear it with anything, and most of my other shoes are black

Actually I never had two-color shoes before; when I was buying this pair the salesman told me that I can have the sole and heel painted dark brown or black, but I just left them as it was - I like natural leather color (and I'm way too lazy). Thanks.
