Overall I think sc is my favorite shoe

Agree with Roger...quite stunning. I don't usually associate SC with shell...may have to consider that make-up for a future MTO.

I'm happy to share with you my vers 1st pair of SCs. Saw these boots in leather and tweed (Novello last) on their Facebook page and it was love at first sight.

Since no SC dealer in my neck of the woods I contacted Mr Philipp Car directly and explained my shoe size in different other makers. He suggested a size with no warranty of fit as I had not tried the pair on before but I took the risk and am glad as they fit perfectly!

Icing on the cake, I ordered the shoes in Sept , announced delivery was mid Nov but I received them end of Oct!

So without further ado here are some (lousy) pictures of my boots

Did you insist on a custom last? I got dissuaded by Philip to just using PRET.

Yes, one day before you did I believe. Phillip told me first week of December hopefully but before Christmas for sure

Feel pretty confident fit will be perfect, went with the simply as I didn't originally plan on getting a pair but had to once I saw the shoe. Was going to get a variation of jerrybrowne's boot but have enough boots for now.
