A Beautiful Sunny Day In the South

It was a beautiful day to run errands. In need of a shave and haircut

You guys look decent with your shirts untucked...I feel I look like a slob every time I untuck. Is it just the MCer in me?

I feel the same way. Lately I've tried untucking based on SW&D advice, and I agree that it sometimes looks better. Still feel like a slob, 'though.

I think my fit today would have been greatly improved by an untuck...

Maybe so, if the shirt is short enough. I've found that most of my shirts are either "tuckers" or "un-tuckers," because if it's short enough to look good un-tucked it's probably not long enough to stay tucked. I really wish this weren't the case - shirts would have so much more versatility otherwise.

it's physics... the way of the universe! ya, I wish all the cuffs on my pants could magically adjust to the type of shoe/boot I'm wearing or I could interchange all my shirts with all my jackets but it rarely works out. "Untuckers" look cool that way for a reason.. the same reason "tuckers" do NOT look cool that way. Different shirts for different occasions and personally I don't find it "slobby" at all... if done right and the shirt warrants being untucked it's casual... nothing to worry about fellas! :nodding:

I have all my shirts made just long enough to stay tucked win with lowest rise jeans. I tend to wear more untucked lately, since it is easier for the work I do in my lab.

I have no idea how you manage to do that. All the tuckable shirts I own are way too long and don't stay tucked even then. I have just entered the world of MTM, so maybe that will change.

I find that, in addition to length, the straighter a shirt is along the bottom the better it looks untucked.

Other than the tapered jeans, looks good imo

(of course, that's just because I don't think tapered jeans have any business being on a man)

No i'm serious. Unless Mr.K wants to chime in here I am nearly certain that those jeans have no "built in" taper. It's a combination of thigh and roll.

But I might be wrong. I see how it looks like that in the image.

Are you serious or just trolling
You don't know taper when you see it? Really?

Us short people with small feet benefit greatly from a bit of taper. Anything bigger than an 8" hem swallows my shoes. I think Mr K's are Weird Guys so they have a 7" hem I think. Not straight leg but not skinny-jean super taper either...
