I think a sarong can look cool in a super casual context. I wear one at the beach sometimes. A friend of mine wore a kilt for a new years party. He looked great. And he's kinda of a burly dude.
This is way too matchy matchy for me.
Info on jacket? I really dig it.
Its not QUITE as low contrast as it looks, thats partially due to bad lighting. the vest is approximately chocolate brown, the shirt has a lot of red in it, and the scarf is a red over forest green hunter plaid.
That being said, its a lot more subdued than is normal for me too, I was a bit iffy on it. May add something obnoxious next time.
It looks like there's too much sweater for the cut of that jacket. Definitely better sans vest, and I would suggest no tie as well.
crosspoast....casual baseline, ie total chino comfort zone.
Just had to pop round to the shop to sort some stuff for my ASSistant manager so just staying warm and hopefully lookin good.
+1, not a fan of the socks.
Doesn't necessarily need to be obnoxious (although I'm ALL for that) but some differentiation in the color palette would definitely help.
I like the idea, but not the execution. The coat looks dreadful, the leather looks dried out and dead. Matching the scarf to the quilted vest (? better photos....) didn't work. The shirt collar is too short.
Try it again with better pieces, would be my suggestion.
I agree with Rambo. Some differentiation would be nice. I think this look might be really good without the jacket and adding a navy sportcoat maybe? I LOVE the vest... but I already have a bad name on here for having too many vests.
Pointing out logical fallacies or rhetorical mistakes is not an intelligent way to argue.
Any deets on the varsity jacket?
I've really been trying to stay out of these little MC tiffs that have been popping up all over the place recently, but this is one of the stupidest things I've ever seen written on the internet, and I used to frequent the old bulldrek forums.
