Us short people with small feet benefit greatly from a bit of taper. Anything bigger than an 8" hem swallows my shoes. I think Mr K's are Weird Guys so they have a 7" hem I think. Not straight leg but not skinny-jean super taper either...

Meh, that's your own opinion. In my opinion a straight leg cut looks fine on a man of any height, provided the rest of the fit is solid.

I'm pretty sure any jean based off a 501 tapers from the thigh to the ankle.

Taper vs straight vs bootcut refers to the knee down, not thigh. This is pretty much the universal standard for classifying a jean's cut.

Sure this isn't 90's grunge-induced?

I kinda can't get near flannel anymore.

Tapering has to be done right. I don't like the tapered look with too much material in the knee. If everything fits well, I think it looks great on slim guys, positively accentuating the male figure.

I know that comment was wrong as soon as I posted it. I'm conceding the point on Mr. K.'s fit.

A matter of personal opinion. Mine is of the opinion that a man should never wear a tapered jean (straight or bootcut being the only acceptable cuts).

A Beautiful Sunny Day In the South
It was a beautiful day to run errands. In need of a shave and haircut

This is my favorite fit of yours from recent memory. Simple. I might copy your with blue PTBs and all tomorrow.

I have a For Dummies book coming out next month (not clothing related, I hasten to add!); I should ask the Commissioning Editor to contact Manton...

How not to get addicted to Ritalin for Dummies? :puzzled:

You're really doing well with the casual fits lately. These pants though, they look like they're hiked up to your abdomen in this shot. You bringing back the high-waters?

I will say that there are a lot of bad photos of the trousers probably not up to par with MC'ers standards i.e. too much pulling.
Got home a bit earlier and the sun was still out : ) So had a few rounds with the camera, and out of a dozen or more I found these to best capture my outfit of the day.

FWIW, I am wearing 4 layers total with the jacket and the button down is a bit big in the midsection thus exaggerating my stomach. I am actually pretty frail and slim dude  ha ha...
Trousers are comfy but they do hug my thunder thighs when sitting. I will be posting not so attractive photos for the tailors to critique and see what I can fix in an alternative thread that some players maybe familiar with.

My main concern is the inseam balance on the legs as pointed out in the past that my right hip sits higher than the left.

Cheers!

I thought it was going to rain and have no other boots/weather appropriate footwear. Rather not wear any of my dress shoes though they should be fine walking from my car to the building entrance.

Thanks!

I know, I hate it when I have to wear a nice pair of shoes on a rainy day. I'm trying a few different things, such as a water-repellant spray, and I'm thinking of getting rubber soles glued onto my oxfords and bluchers.

Hey shoe people: does water really damage leather all that much?

Hey, Rob, who makes those slacks? And how accurate is their color in that image? I really like them as they're appearing in the pic.
