Brown shoes and tuck in the shirt, please.

#8 Cordovan shoes, and shirt was tucked during shift. Took it out after hours for cleaning, etc.

At work last night -

Again, only basics, but that's what I'm decent at.

Well, it looks like you work at a store that sells basics, so I would imagine you'd fit right in.

Nice shoes, but I don't think they belong.

If you saw me smile you'd have to be committed. Be thankful I don't.

You know that makes me think that you should stop trying to look like you're 40 and go properly mod. It would work for you.

Liam, I think you might actually look older if you tried to dress a little more your age. You're dressing more like you're past the hump of middle-age, and I understand that you're trying to look more mature, but I'm not sure if it actually helps...

Not trying to be rude, just my two-cents-worth.

I buy stuff that lasts second hand. My choices are classic (old people) clothes or looking two seasons behind. I'm happier with classics.

This raises the everlasting philosophical and social dilemma. Should you do what makes you comfortable or what makes you popular (granted those are not the same)? After watching my father choose the former for all his life, I've decided to be more compliant with society's norms. It worked wonders for me as I've transformed myself from being an outcast in high school to a quite likable and sociable person now. I blend common trends with my personality to create a modern, yet unique style, as I've been told quite a few times that people can recognize me without even seeing my face. Yet, that recognition stems not from looking clownish or like an old man. Rather, it's a classical yet modern choice of clothing that gets me constant praise from people, as well as a multitude of friends asking to shop for them or just for my opinion. Liam, you seem to tend being unique and different in a rebellious way. If you're happy with that, then so be it. But I think you would benefit from dressing more like your age.

The one-day-long spring is gone. Winter is back. Out with the sweaters, again.
