From Friday (WAYWRN crosspost)...

Casual Friday again - felt like using some color. There was a bit of discussion recently on using a jacket as the lightest element of an outfit... Does this apply? If so, does it work?

All the colours are pulling in different (and competing) directions. Either switch the shirt or the pants+shoes (I'd switch pants+shoes).

Would you offer a few more details on this critique, Fuuma? I'm color-challenged and need help understanding how the shirt and the pants/shoes are working against each other. (Shirt looks dark brown on my monitor. If it's black, then I already see what you mean.)

I think the top half works, but there's something about the color of the pants that bothers me. Maybe if they were darker?

It's dark brown. To me the colors work very nicely. I was completely happy with this outfit, which I cannot say for most of my other attempts. I, too, would love to hear a more detailed explanation. If there's something I don't see, then maybe this will be one of these educational moments on SF that there's less and less of. :)

You can get one, actually. It's #26, the top one. If you want to order that one or others, contact her directly through email (pm me for it) as I only did this group buy thing once and I'm not doing it again. She must have some silk left from this order, so she will gladly accept more work.

Went out raising hell of the two wheeled variety today.

Well, actually went for a 30 minute ride out in the country, and then stopped off for coffee. Not exactly hell raising, I know.

first post in this thread for me. i really like the thread, and wish i could post in it more often. for me this is dressed up for work but i think its more casual for MC. correct me if im wrong.

pants are pre-SF need to be shortened i know.

BB merino wool half zip
BB twill pants
Zegna couture loafers

edit - the whole thing looks dumpy to me now. i hoped it looked better IRL.

Relaxed Autumn Saturday...

... yes, the T underneath is deeply uncool. But I like the extra warmth & it's one less shirt to iron! :)
Lookin snazzy doc. The grey undershirt might be better in white. Something about it looks too matchy to me.

I gotta go against the groupthink on the t-shirt, Doc. I think this looks good. I fail to understand the preference for the open v-neck versus the crew-neck t-shirt. Generally I'd much rather see some cotton than man pelt, plus it serves a similar visual purpose as a necktie by bringing the eye up to the face.

I don't mind the undershirt so much as the color. It really offsets the sweater and jacket.

Hi, visiting from SWD

Took the kids to the park early this morning

NYR you been sleeping under a bridge? Seen better from you.

The jacket, believe it or not, is Zara.

I have a Zara coat as well and it exceeded my expectations.

NOBD looks good, per usual.

Some in this thread should consider slimming your pants up a bit. Don't have to go skinny.
