What peacoat is this? I've been searching for a nice fitting gray peacoat.

You know, I don't even think MC is this hard and fast about these things.
I think sleeve length is almost entirely personal. showing shirt cuff has been brought into false relevance by sartorialist-eque commentary because of photography.
(IMO).
Hookem's outfit is probably very good, if not to my taste (it's too 'murican for me).
Hookem: What I would like to know (and I'm not implying anything here) is the context for such a fit. IME, I have never had cause to wear this sorta in-formal-but-not-casual type of outfit. In other words, I very rarely have an occasion that I need to wear a tie, but don't need to wear a suit. Could you describe the occasion? Cheers

Sterlingwear - this is a 38L and I'm 6'1" ~ 170-180 lbs
When I had to wear a suit and it was really hot in Seoul (and most everybody uses public transportation so walking is required), I kept all my jackets at the office and came to work just with the trousers and tie. A lot of people did this...really weird given that most of the time I wouldn't touch the jacket while I was at work. I guess it was "just in case."Hookem: What I would like to know (and I'm not implying anything here) is the context for such a fit. Is it the Authentic model? I'm under the impression that the Authentic is the slimmest fit. I'm really leaning towards that peacoat in gray, but I'm leaning towards replacing the traditional buttons with brown horn buttons. Are you normally a size 38?
Yes it's authentic model. I'm typically 38R so I would buy TTS or long if you're tall & slim/fit. They have great customer service too.
I'm willing to take some things in context, but this is too much.
If you think a Tshirt is underwear you've been living under a rock for a good 60 years.
Underwear or not, a jeans/white t-shirt/boot fit has no place in this thread.
not sure i agree. also, i think crat looks sexy
Getting the sleeve length correct in relation to the wrist seems less important than getting the sleeve length correct in relation to the body.

My Mother-in-Law, whose father owned a prominent local menswear shop for over 40 years, considers any men's t-shirt without a pocket to be an undershirt, and particularly white tees.'
this is trolling, right?
