i've been growing tired of the leathers i have, and looking through Mr.porter's sale on Rick Owens leathers (50-70% off leathers )had me thinking about picking one up while they were cheap this summer.

i'm looking for something somewhat slim fitting. something that can be worn over a button up shirt and a tie. im a size 50-52, so im too big for the Japanese brands (julius leathers are slim fitting, and even a 4 is much too small)

I tried on the Rick Owens Intarsia, and liked everything but the fabric cuffs? what ware they called? and i do not think it would look great if i had my tailor simply take a seam ripper to them.

Before anyone recommends the Maison Martin Margiela 5zip that's currently on sale at neiman marcus (for $2090) i already have the exact same one in a winter weight calf. and im just tired of it.

Im not a fan of the TOJ leathers promoted here, and i have a few personal qualms with the poster who runs the brand. I prefer not to go there and lets just pretend the option just doesn't exist.

Before i get linked to the leather jacket thread, keep in mind i am prohibited from posting in that thread.

this is a version of the jacket i tried on with the cuffs removed via photoshop, that would be my ideal jacket if the sleeves were slightly longer to make up for the removed cuffs

Have you thought about TOJ (Temple of Jawnz)? It's a good option if you want a MTM jacket in a nice style and quality leather. You can find the official thread here. Hope this helps

Useless replys so far. And wearing a toj jacket is like wearing a black scissors or fake rick jacket from china

I'm willing to spend $1000-1500I think we can agree that there are better jackets in this range.

@uncontrol you still don't have a mediocre jacket but you post iabout them everyday?
