What size is it? Looks like you might need a long size. So if it's a 40R, go for a 38L. If too long, a tailor can fix the sleeves (although the working button cuffs limit how much) and most of SS jackets are too short in the body anyhow. I wish they had 36L.

Thank you! Shirt is Cipa; have not heard good things about suitsupply shirts after first washing -- but my next shirt for wear with this suit will def be Eidos, to achieve same collar/ look for under 300 bucks

You comment on the length from a picture that doesnt even show the bottom of the jacket?

I'm a 42R and just over 6', so a long will probably look too long. I have a Washington, San Diego and soho which all fit perfect in a 42R; I've included my san diego for reference.

My tailor is limited in her willingness to comment on fit, and her english in general - so that's probably a no go.

The shoulders seem just a bit too wide, though the site shows they should be slightly narrower than the other fits, with the chest slightly larger. The shoulders on the san diego are snug.

Man, most of the people on here will bash on the San Diego fit, but I dig those lapels (obviously, not something I'd wear to the office tho!)

Can't comment on the Washington, but shopped for summer Havanas in one of their stores last week:

I did not like the light blue linen\silk Havana in person, it looked too much like denim. Both checked silk\linen\cashmere Havanas were very very nice, but I wanted some versatile jackets, so no checks for me this time. I might order the brown checked later.

The white and the white checked Havanas looked good too, if white suits you better than me, but a white jacket would not be my go to jacket for summer either.

What I got was the linen tobacco an the grey wool Havana. They both look excellent, color an texture are beautiful. I would not be afraid of their lighter wool jackets, they are very light. I have an eye on their brown wool Havana too, but they didn't have it in stock.

I think they changed the cut of the Havana slightly, the jackets seem a tad longer, the sleeves a bit shorter. I had to shorten the sleeves a bit in the past, now it's fine. Oh, and their hangers changed too.

Hope this helps a little bit.

For the derby yesterday, Havana linen blend w/ a Kent Wang linen blend shirt & high-waisted BBBF pants. I think the high stance of the pants compliments the high buttoning point of the Havana.

Thanks! This is very helpful. Initially, I was leaning towards the tobacco jacket, so I think that I'll give it a try. I may order the Lazio or Havana light brown linen suit as well. I like to hear that they may have shortened the sleeves on the Havana, as I've always had to get the sleeves taken up in that fit.

i've got it. it's a very small fraction darker than what it is in the picture. lighter than a mid grey.

Not sure if pix will show much difference but the feel and look in real life was pretty significant to me. Here's the charcoal suit I replaced -- in pic with tie, had to hold my arms up unnaturally high to get a decent photo. In other pics, you may notice the sleeves are a bit wide on me, bulge at armpits, etc that I couldn't seem to fix -- Spalla seemed great from the start, and only small alteration was at neck. This was a good lesson for me that fit is indeed king, not make / brands

Again not sure if you'll see much diff from my crappy pix of both suits!

You are going to have 10 separate boxes on your door step. You confuse me, and normally I would dismiss it and move on with my day, but I am curious enough to ask... If you don't like double vents, why order 10 suits with double vents? And what do you do with your coat while riding a horse? If you don't like a lower button stance or british tailoring, why get the York? If you only want higher numbered fabrics, why are you knocking the price of those fabrics? If you need fuller pants, why did you choose a fashion forward brand?
