Those Guidi are pretty cool...wonder how it would look in a olive / drab color. Really interesting texture the "reversed stag" creates, seems nicer than suede.

Greetings,

I've spent the past hour browsing through this thread. There are some very impressive pieces to be had here.

Though I noticed that there hasn't been any postings of shoes by NFour of Japan http://nfour.jp/

Unfortunate, because the shoes are easily on par with the best Amadei's work, and dare I say perhaps even more so. Last autumn I spent two months shopping in Tokyo and had saw more than my fair share of shoes during that time. One evening while shopping at Omotesando Hills I happened to be introduced to NFour, a little known artisan brand out of Tokyo. The quality of shoe construction was unprecedented. Retail price was equivalent to $1899 USD. Unfortunately my size was not in stock.

I am in the process of emailing NFour to see if we can get a photo of some of the works of art.

Stay tuned...

See this: http://shop.mindtrive.com/shopbrand/049/X/ What is it about the shoes specifically that makes you like them so much?

If my memory serves me right, they looked a lot like a pair of Avantindietro's, perhaps these: http://img690.imageshack.us/img690/8633/055ro.jpg

A very 19th century, Charles dickens styling to them.

The construction - perhaps the most supple horse leather I've ever come across, beyond Guidi. Artisan craft at its finest, not unlike Paul Harnden's work.

the boots/derbies remind me of a1923, but why would i buy those over wjk/jun hushimoto (i mention those brands because they are in japan). For the price point why not get ccp/a1923.

The boots/shoes look decent but i am not sold on them
