I want ... more... Guidi .. bootsss

In a black suede/reverse or something. Maybe with a zipper or similar to the 995 I am wearing. The height of the shaft is good for me. Higher would be fine, but any lower and I rather not deal with it.

quality is definitely a factor but what i am truly interested about is do a1923/ccp just design and where do they (a1923/ccp) fit in the manual process?

They're also friends, lovers and avid skiers but we do know discuss them as designers of the brands they have created so I don't understand the first question. The second one is meaningless unless you tell me what is the "manual process" and what the different grades are.

Do Carol and Simone only design or is there a physical construction process of footwear/garments that they contribute to. If so what do they actually do (physically) besides ski.

As you may know many designers just design and have someone else physically create their vision. I was under the impression CCP/A1923 and other artisan brand designers (layer-0, CD) were more involved with the creation process. For example, from simone's interview he says he works with his hands and makes the shoes. CCP i have no idea, the guy is reclusive.

Hey fellas! What is the general opinion on asking a local boot maker to make somthing in the style of Augusta double zips wrinkle boot, instead of dropping 2k on it? There is a guy with good rep in my town who would do it for bout 400$. he does not distress leather of course so the look of the leather will not be the same. Would you think that is a good idea?
thx

It sounds like I was wrong about the season- I thought I'd seen them on PNP before AW12 stuff was generally up. Sounds like I was wrong.

Out of curiosity, can you post any pictures of the worn in Layer-0's? I'd love to see them. Also, and in a question more relevant to those of us in the emerald city... why do you get vibrams/ resoles done? I've only found 1 decent place...

I posted pics earlier. Will try to post more some time....

Also, did you mean 'where'?

I've heard 2k to 4k GBP. I think Maxfield's should have a few pair too or they were suppose too. Anybody UK based, please stop by DSM and post your thoughts-

Yes, yes I did. That'll teach me to check my posts before I click submit.

In Seattle, try Broadway Shoe Repair on Cap Hill. On the eastside, Bailey's in Kirkland.

+1. And some pics of them worn would be nice.
