new to forums.

I still didn't see any answers for Layer-0 boots, so anyone handled them?

Also another question, I'm about to purchase a pair of Layer-0 boots but toe box/ ball of foot on sole is curved.

boot measures 29cm long, my foot is just under 26 cm, is it too long? I never quite understood how ones feet curve upwards like that :/.

THANKS!

I've owned 2 pair of the AV-Field collab. Quality/Construction is pretty damn good for the price. A/W11 Layer-0 footwear was exceptional IMO.

That boot you linked should be true to size. 26/29 should be okay with that boot- I believe Layer-0 has a low instep (like Cdiem).

The boots will flatten out over time/ with wear.

Eckblk,

Wow this forum replies way quicker than stylezeitgeist lol.
You think so? even with 3 cm gap? from big toe to end of boot? I never quite understood the curve its like walking on a rocking chair

So many people advise a 3 cm gap is too much, and thing is they do not make size 39, 40 is the smallest for Layer-0, at 29cm....thats more like a 41.5 isn't it?.

I wrote out my message :( and then it wasn't posted!!!!!

people reply here way quicker than stylezeitgeisttttt

ok, basically I never understood how the curve works at the outset.... its like walking on a rocking chair lol

.

Also, I've been informed by many that having a foot just under 26cm, 29cm is too long length wise, but is it different for a boot with such a toebox and curve?

Sadly there is no size 39 as well for Layer-0, 40 is the smallest, and measuring at 29cm, isn't that like a size 41.5...?or close to 42

?

Thanks buddy!

What is your shoe size?

The Layer-0 boot looks to have more of a flatter toe box so you don't really want your feet jammed up all the way.

My normal toe box Cdiems (all size 41) all measure about 30cm~, my bubble toe Cdiem was barely 29cm. So many factors come into play besides outsole measurements and length of your foot.

ECKBLK,

Sorry I don't get your first line,

But I assume you mean is 40 my shoe size? generally I wear 41 in PS shoes, much pointier and all measure around 28-29cm (but they are pointy) compared to boots.

Roughly how long is your foot then? and I know what you mean, it just never makes sense to have your toes literally at the end of the boot tip.

I was told 0.5-1.5 cm is the way to go but that seems super close imo, but IDK im still new to boots

Honestly, going by the outsole measurement is never a good way to determine the way a shoe/boot will fit.

Also, .5cm is very little room for your precious feet. 1-1.5cm is definitely more forgiving.

As for those Layer-0's, I haven't tried on that exact model but I've tried on one similar in shape with a different leather. A lot of people say they fit big, but I would say more true to size, especially if you have anything close to wide feet. I'm a 45 and I tried on a 44 and it was snug and while they probably could've been broken in with some wear, they were pretty darn uncomfortable.

Took a shot at these Augusta in size 11 and yah it was a couple of sizes too big. Was hoping it fit like Guidis.

You get these from Barney's NY? Returning them?

As for Augusta sizing, it's been driving me nuts lately:

Size 44 sneakers at Atelier seem to fit.
Size 45 sneakers from Archive too small.
Size 11 boots I have from previous seasons too big.
Size 11 RFX boots I tried at barney's fit.

hi Winston!

Ye...I def agree with you on the 0.5 cm, 1.5 seems more realistic, my dilemma is that my foot measures just less than 26 cm, boot 29cm, so 3 cm....maybe...too much...

?

And Layer-0 don't have anything smaller, from what I see, size 40 is it.

SO from your experience, where do the the tip of your toes end in such a toe box, obviously they don't go all the way up the shoe do they? like they must be a bit far back from the tip, otherwise....it just doesn't make sense....like totally unnatural to the shape of ones foot.

I just want to say that I've been hugely impressed by my Augusta boots. Really well-made, solid construction, nice leather, etc. I'm not a huge fan of a lot of models, and I'm not convinced that I like the low heel, but if you have the money I'd definitely take the plunge. Here's (finally) a picture of my linen-over-leathers. They're hugely comfortable, too, and I found the sizing pretty easy. I think mine are older, but they're a UK9, which fits my US10.5/43CP/43RO just fine. I think eck's right, though - it seems like these could accommodate a foot both a size larger and smaller than mine, just because of the toe shape.
