"The Manhattan Richelieu wingtip shoes are made from waxed alligator leather. They're hand-stitched with Blake construction for a more comfortable fit and the outsole-embedded thread ensures a long-lasting stitch. The interior, meanwhile, sports glove-soft leather lining. Even the sole, made of hand-painted leather and featuring an embedded ruthenium-finished cube with the LV monogram, is high quality.

These luxury wingtips will be offered in Spring/Summer of 2010 for $10,000."

From Louis Vuitton.

They're not that ugly. The last is quite nice and I like the broguing pattern. The weird little flap detail near the vamp isn't off-putting for me. Were they calf this thread probably wouldn't have been made - your dislike for them is probably sourced in the fact that they're gator skin, the same reason they cost $10k. Which is a reasonably held opinion, of course; I wouldn't wear croc / gator shoes either. I find them ugly on a pretty much categorical level as well. But "ugliest" is a stretch.

Southerners across the US** wear way uglier shoes than these. Search eBay for Mark Nason and you will get to see most of them. **I started off with "cowboy" but didn't know whether to try and get more or less specific. OP's LVs are reasonably ugly but I'd rather wear those for the rest of my life than spend a month in hideous cowboy boots that look like Affliction/Ed Hardy produced them, goddamn that **** is ugly.

Here are some wingtips which should be even less SF-approved:

And something I wouldn't wear:

Basketwoven goatskin?
