I am so glad that I didn't compete in this exercise - there were a lot of strong entries in this field - that, and the one vote rule made choosing very hard.

Thank you, gentlemen competitors - you all looked great.

There are actually some pretty cool entries this week. I prefer the one-member/one-vote system, because it forces some real decision-making upon the voters. Having said that, my honourable mentions this week go to NOBD (it's his personal theme, so not surprising he pulled off a consistent look!), Parker, aeglus, fullb, IBJanky, NYRanger and Mr.Moo. Under the old system, I'd have probably voted for most of those guys. Having said, I threw my vote in with sugarbutch. Regardless of my initial inability to distinguish between jacket turnback cuffs and creases(!), I still really like this look. The paler/faded colours are interesting, contrast well with the tie, the sunglasses, and his complexion, and the overall look is pulled together nicely as a result. Good stuff. PS. Thanks Rambo for your kind words upthread. It probably speaks more of how appallingly bad my casual looks used to be, rather than anything about their quality now, but I'm grateful nonetheless!

+1 I really want him to win a contest one day, just so he gets to pick the theme everyone has to follow the week after.

Parker was great - more along what I'd do, but it was nice to see some other styles. NYR's gunclub is awesome, and Raoul Duke's jeans looked really good. In the end I chose Myke. He needs to get off the beat & start posting more. Priorities, man

Parker. But NY Ranger and NOBD look pretty good as well.

Many of the others are awful.

I'm going to respectfully disagree with the consensus that there were a lot of good entries. I do the jeans/SC look a lot myself and if you normally DON'T do this kinda fit, it takes some practice. Here are some of my observations:
  1. Too monochromatic > Mr. Moo, TTO, bleachboy, tropics, aeglus, in stitches
  2. Lose the vest/sweater > harry2quinn
  3. You had me until the shoes > IBJanky, Raoul Duke
  4. Better shirt choice needed > MBreinin, SG-22, NOBD
  5. Better jeans choice needed > JPQ (otherwise my #1)
  6. Pretty good, but needs one LESS thing? LilacCords
  7. Pretty good, but needs one MORE thing? > acridsheep, Parker, Orgetorix
  8. In the hunt > sugarbutch, Holdfast, Kappelan, PandArts, NOBD, spoozy, LilacCords, NewYorkRanger
I'll probably NOT make a lot of friends with this post, but my observations are meant as constructive criticism. BTW, I've grown SO tired of the turned-up cuff thing and the dorky-flower-petal thing. Can't we just agree that these won't stand the test of time and be done with them already?

My votes go to Ibjanky, Nyranger, and Ob5curity! All look awesome but slight edge to Ob for the desert boots look. I wear that exact combo and color all of the time so I'm biased here ha!

BTW, I was all set to enter this week, but came down with a nasty cold and a dead camera battery simultaneously.

See! I told ya'll I wasn't gonna get any lovin' out of this... BB, I dug your shoes (a lot)! (And I could have found a lot of nice things to say about almost everyone.)

Really? I can't think of a much better choice than brown shell wingtips to go with denim. They are still a little new, but I'm not going to scuff them up on purpose.
