Question for wine lovers regarding wine fridge's

Hello,

I was raised in the wine country and grew up loving it! My allocation to 2 of the best pinot noir wineries is ready to go but my wine fridge broke. I'm looking to store 10+ wines. Any suggestions/recommendations on what type/brand/perks/etc?

Cheers

is that 10 bottles or 10 cases? for 10 bottles, fancy storage would hardly pencil out. the reports i've been hearing on those "mini-cellars" have not been good. either go big and plan on buying more wine, or keep them in a cool inner closet.

I hear their warranty coverage is atrocious as well. I went with an Edgestar for my cigars, and it's treated me well. I'd probably get another one for my wine too.

Really? I know a lot of people that own them and we're all completely satisfied.

Hello

10 bottles +. I think I might need up to 18 or so at most. The mini cellars are bad? Oh no! I can't purchase anything bigger because of my place and I'm still fairly young. I want something for now to stash my best wines as gifts and etc.

Cheers

How long do you plan on keeping the wines? If only for a few years (at most) then find an interior closet that doesn't have a heat/air vent inside it and keep them in there. A fridge is only necessary if you plan on trying to keep your wines more than a few years.

I have two at home, a 50ish bottle, 2 zone Vinotemp and a smaller 20ish bottle Sanyo. I like them both and they seem to keep a pretty good temperature. But I keep the stuff I don't plan on touching for a few years in locker at a dedicated wine storage facility.

Are you in the wine storage business?

Have well over 400 bottles in my Vinotemp at the moment. Hasn't let me down yet.

God no. I don't know how they make any money. It must not be that great because there aren't many out there. At some point I want to get a frig big enough to hold all my bottles so I can get rid of that expense. Just can't do it right now.

Can't recommend anything at your size. However, regardless of what you get, just make sure it fits champagne bottles.

How long? I honestly don't know. These are fairly young wines. 2007+. My allocation to KB and WS are due in a few weeks so I wanted to start stocking up. My uncle is in the wine industry and works in the wine country in the bay area. He could store them for me but I live in LA and that would be inconvenient.

Do you know how much storage facility's are?

Not a white wine or champagne fan. I've tried for years to "acquire" the taste but cant. My "cellar" would only be for reds

Cheers

Not even close to worth it for 10 bottles. At the one I use the smallest locker is for 10 cases.
