Why so hard to find higher quality slim suits.

I've been looking for a long time for some nicer slim jackets or suits, but they just arn't around to me.

Zara, h&M, Le chateau, Mexx, Club Monaco, etc all have occasional slim suits with high arm holes. I go to higher end stores and their bassically unexistent. I feel trapped in the lower niche markets for blazers/SC/suits because it's all that fits. Also these stores tend to have lots of poly blends and jackets that are too short for my taste. I hate to admit it, but I bought two linen blazers from Le Chateau because they fit me perfect. Only had to have the sleeves brought up. It's like if I find somehting that fits I have to buy it, because it comes around so unfrequently.

I'm also around 5.9 130-35lbs, It's like just a notch below the smallest sizes at most stores. I'm sure alot of you feel my pain. Sort of a rant here but any ideas where else to look besides mtm or bespoke?

It's well-known around the world that clothes need to be "generously-sized" for the American market.

I feel your pain. As a 5'8'' 135 pound law student, clothing that actually fits is very difficult to come by. I also feel the urge to purchase anything that comes around in my sizing, as the pickings are so few and far in-between.

I just posed this question in the "ask any question" thread. I have the exact same size as the poster above, 5'8", 135. Always have trouble finding slimmer fitter clothes. The waist on any shirt is always too big. I've found H&M shirts have a good slim fit but I don't care for the brand. Is there a European J Crew?

are the posters who are 5'8 and 135lbs in america?
because i am 5'7 and 150 and i am skinny as hell compared to all of my friends...
12% body fat, 38 chest, 29 waist...
i cant imagine being 135lbs even at 1 inch shorter

Hmm in my experience it's the opposite. Most neopolitan tailored suits such as Isaia or Attolini are quite slim with high armholes. Not to mention the fashion brands like Dior or Prada that are extremely slim.

Maybe the fits are slimmer themselves. But good luck finding that Isaia or Attolini suit in a small size like 36s.

And yes, I am in America.

Maybe you can buy them from Japan via proxy. I used to see ISAIA in 34 on RAKUTEN.

As well as Tom and Thom.

So your issue is that there aren't enough suits for little people, not that there aren't enough slim-fit suits from the higher-end brands.

Why do people fixate on weight. No suit is sized on weight.

I'm 142lbs at the moment. 5' 9. I wear an Italian 50 jacket in most brands. Some times I need a 52.

End of beach season I'll hopefully be down to 140. I'll still be a 50.

That the word "Fitzgerald" has not entered the thread is frankly shameful.

I'm Canadian, yeah, smaller and slimmer than Americans US. Although, I'm still on the smaller scale out here.
