Seems like a useless gimmick, but actually worked well for me when I used it live as it's a very bright-sounding guitar and my amp can be a bit piercing at higher volumes.

That's no gimmick, and it's far from useless. This is how Gibsons operate as well, and I actually prefer that switching mechanism.

These things are incredible, blows everything else I've ever played out the water in terms of tone and playability. And it looks stunning too. It's my second guitar, the other is a very cheap Ibanez that I started with, but when my guitar is this good it doesn't matter if its the only one I can afford - it's the only one I need too (well... I can kid myself till I have another two grand to spend on guitars)

Ha! The Jazzmaster is actually very simple, control-wise. Now the Jaguar, with its "strangle switch" and another array of knobs...

Single note lines -- amazing. I've tried other octave pedals (the one on my Pod and the OC3), but this one shows them all up. I can get a really great bass sound, or when I run the octave up through the fuzz (fireburst) it just sounds maniacally good. No intervals or chords though, but that goes on all of them...

I actually have a couple of pedals I want to sell if anyone's interested-- a Catalinbread Silverkiss and a Lovepedal Twin 60... both amazing pedals, read up on them.

Have a listen to this OD pedal. Keith Richards vibe. Pretty spot on 1969 Ampeg sound. Too bad these boutique stomp boxes are so $$$ - $200 for this one.

kgmessier, I bow down.

I have an Epiphone Casino in natural (Made in Korea reissue) that I bought for like $250, new. Before that, I had a few of the Gretsch heritage series they made for Guitar Center that I also bought for about $250-300 new. Not a bad deal. I haven't played the Casino enough to change out the original strings that came on it, but am motivated to pull it out of the closet sometime soon.
