Hmm, your user name is 'tween' and you've got old pics of that high school kid stored on your computer. One more strike and you have officially creeped me out!

F***, all I had to do was read "Letting the days go by" and now I know I'm going to have Talking Heads stuck in my head all day.

what's funny is that there is easily more hope for Fischschleim than HarrisonK (assuming the latter's not an outright troll).

the former's fit is salvageable as he at least demonstrates basic concepts of how his clothes should fit.

For some advice on how to dress for your body type I suggest reading this link, The Style Blogger knows what he's talking about:

http://www.thestyleblogger.com/3035...tips-for-shorter-guys-featuring-adam-lampell/

I'm also 19 and on a college student budget except I'm a little taller then you, I'm 6' and 125-130lbs. I to started with Express shirts but learned quickly. I'd suggest you looking into buying some Rugby by Ralph Lauren oxford button down shirts. They are very versatile and go with almost everything. A size small on you would be perfect. A great thing about Rugby is that if you are a student and show a student I.D. they will give you 15% off anything you buy.

As for the jeans, I personally do not like Levi's that much because I can never find a correct fit because I'm tall and skinny, but that might not be the case for you. If you did want to invest in some better jeans I'd suggest getting a pair of APC New Standards, which are about $175. That probably seems very expensive but the reality of it is, you can (and should) wear these same jeans everyday for a year+.

For the shoes, I'd suggest buying two pairs of shoes, each relatively inexpensive. First, a pair of Sperry Topsider Authentic Original boat shoes. About $75, and they go with just about everything. They can be worn in the dry warm weather, they can be worn in the rain, and even in the snow (I live in D.C. and walked through several snow storms with these last year). The second pair of shoes you should buy are a pair of beeswax Clarks Desert Boots. These are also very versatile shoes. The can be worn with shorts, jeans, or even dressier pants. They are good in cold and warm weather and if you apply some waterproofing oil to them, they can even be worn in the rain.

Good luck finding whats right for you! And I hope this helped.

Thank you for the reply, HarrisonK.
I'd also like to say that though I'm fairly new to this website, I have seen a lot of posts on the styleblogger, and I check back there periodically just for interest.
I've never looked into this Rugby brand, but thanks, I'll definitely check it out sometime soon.
I am familiar with the APC's brand, however I haven't quite gone there just yet. Maybe I'll consider giving it a try sometime down the road. I like Levi's right now, and when these get old or boring, I'll try some out.
It's quite funny, I actually own a pair of both of those shoes that you have recommended me. I have a pair of 4-eyed Sperry that I got a long while ago and some beeswax leather Clarks desert boots. I didn't know that you could waterproof them, though. That's interesting.

And for what it's worth- hopefully you guys wont flame me for saying this - but I've actually managed to learn a lot of basic things from
4chan's /fa/ board
but I've sort of graduated away from there, and feel more mature to fit in there these days. lol

Fischleim PhD., your fit was IMO really good by noob standards, kicks the **** out of the first thing I posted here. Get contacts or new glasses and a haircut and you will be on the right track. Don't listen to HarrisonK, his nose looks like a penis.
