I had these in grey leather in 03. Fell in love with a girl who had the same 574s in burgundy nylon. Went to her house in Japan and all the sisters had them in different colors, there some grey ones, navy ones, burgundy, all the best colors.
I have those burgundy ones. I'm still embarrassed to wear them in public.
Khakis fit well, slim w/o saying "im wearing a 20 yr old's costume"... they just fit right
Not crazy about that jacket though
Hey MoK.... which forum do you prefer, MW or SW&D?
Personally I love the overshirt, and think it will get better with age.
As to forums, to be honest I think the differences are pretty minor once you've hung around them for a while. It doesn't take long to work out who's a snarky sod but worth listening to and who's just an internet tough guy trying to be Mr. Big.
Work requires a suit most days or at least a sportscoat and tie, so I dress MC much more than I dress SW&D, and am therefore more confident with MC dressing.
I think in general the guys on this side of SF tend to be more open-minded style wise, but maybe slightly harder on clueless newbies.
I wish I had the time to visit both more.

Thanks - I tried them with 10" black boots, but they looked a tad too skin/stormtrooper, I'll give them a go with shorter boots.

Cheers, I'll probably pick them up in the other colourways. The fabric isn't as good as older Uniqlo chinos I've bought, but they seem pretty well constructed and I can't fault the quality for the price.

Thanks guys. I love the overshirt, but it does seem less versatile than I thought it would be. The denim on denim look didn't look right, even with slightly paler jeans. It might work with white jeans, and hopefully should be fine with khaki's or beige chinos.
