I'm sure people like it, I'm sure it's comfortable, and I doubt I could look that good in 500 dollars of clothes.

Jacket is extremely sick mattt. Blowing my midmarket wad on the S/S Creep by Hiroshi Awai trench later this week, otherwise I would be going for that APC as well. So nice.

Kryptix, do you always half-tuck your shirt the same way?

Was just looking back and posts and realised that this could really really be taken the wrong way. In its context it was referring to how people were talking about Cool The Kid's skin colour in their critique, so it wasn't part of the criticism, just stated along side it. But, it is more amusing to look at it in the unpolitically correct way

Easy tiger, it wasn't an unfounded attack. It was just that tagutcow mentioned before how it got on his nerves when people dress in all black or grey shades to appear stylish in response to GraphicNovelty's fit, and now GraphicNovelty's doing it again

I'm not saying you're unstylish, it's just the resistance some people have to color really bugs me.

That shirt does not match you or the rest of your outfit. The print is child-like (nearly resembling baby clothing), yet you look large and muscular. And wearing it tight and cropped in length seems to only emphasize this disconnect. The incongruity is really distributing.

Thank God somebody's reading my posts and treating them with all due seriousness.

Yeah, the whole dark-brown, dark-blue, and black is a suffocating, claustrophobic color combination. Is the compulsion to dress this way borne out of some misplaced machismo-- a misguided attempt to eschew all that is percieved as fruity? I'm not kidding when I say it irritates me in a way that I know rationally it shouldn't.

I used to joke with reprehensible about his all-black wardrobe, but it was clear that he just wanted some higher-quality garments and wasn't interested in fancy-schmancy combinations or otherwise making the getting-dressed-in-the-morning routine any more complicated than he apparently though it should be. GN on the other hand is obviously aiming for some SF-approved steez, but is completely stunted by his undynamic color palette.

I can't find any of the yohji quotes about how black is superior to every other color, and of course there's no coincidence that the master mainly works with black, dark navy, some whites and greys (and the occasional spash of color). Can't argue with the Man, he's never wrong.

Ha yeah I realized people could take it that way when I posted, but I figured most people could understand it.

For the record I understood it... I don't think anyone held back because I am black though, my fit was called everything from an utter Smash Bros level failure to disturbingly incongruent

Not that I didn't mire through the hyperbole for the things of value people had to say, but feelings were definitely not spared

^ you ruined my thesis reply on slim fitting clothes and the importance of colour

. I dig the red t-shirt + sneakers though, looks more natural than the all black.

Holy **** GraphicNovelty... you were right, the bright shirt makes you look shorter

I find bold red to be a hard color to wear anyway

It's because the color blocking breaks up the vertical lines of the sillouhette. Which is why I generally go all-dark.
