Alright....so today: No kebob house...no disgusting Chinese take-away either....
Today I ate, nay lunched, on a meal, nay repast, fit for Styleforum approval. I was appropriately attired...but unable to photograph.

First course:
Foie gras à la torche (pan-seared foie gras) with yellow and black mustard seeds and roasted figs and pistachios in duck jus
Wine: Sauterne 2006 Carmes de Rieussec (This was exquisite)

Entrée:
Pan-roasted Chilean sea bass with roasted sweet tomato, almond and basil vinaigrette, served over homini, roasted wild fennel, and some other things I don't remember.
Wine: Chablis Grand Cru 2008.

Main Course:
Roast Guinea fowl (yes guinea fowl) with wild mushrooms and chestnuts in a strong Belgian triple beer sauce with a few black truffles. Truffled creamed potatoes.
Wine: Madeira...I don't remember the details.

Cheese (I don't remember all of it, there were at least 4)

Dessert: Skipped

Beer: Chimay Grande Reserve

Afterwards:

Scotch Whisky: Takisker 10 yr
Glenlivet 18
Cognac: Courvoisier Napoléon
Cigar: Avo No. 3

Two Extra-strength advil.
Fresh air.

Strong black coffee

All items to the best of my memory, might be forgetting some minor details.

Whattup, KitAkira?

If you want to wear MARPAT you should join the Corps. Caveat emptor, every Soldier, Sailor, Airman, and Marine who sees you is going to think you're a jackass.

Sources: I'm a vet and think you look like a jackass.

lolz. You know I have equal amounts of love and disdain for you. Still haven't gotten over the fact that you ditched me for football and beer. #whitegirlproblems.

Does it help if I can't remember which game I watched or which beer I had but I always remember what you wear?

Plus, didn't you have the Hantavirus or some **** that day?

Love the bottom half. Top half is a disheveled disaster. Might have more to do with your pose, but my guess is the blazer is at fault. I'd also swap that shirt in for a white one (I'm a sucker for simpler more controlled color palettes).

Hear that? Don't wear an M-65 jacket unless you're in the army. Don't wear a flannel unless you plow fields and feed chickens. Don't wear jeans unless you're a World War I-era factory worker.

That logic will have us dressing like the principle character in The Emperor's New Clothes in no time.

But if you're of Chinese heritage, for God's sake, wear a coolie hat!

Just sayin, man. Any service member that sees that is going to think you're a goon for wearing those pants. The Marines are especially proud of their uniforms but be my guest.

This makes no sense. Camo (both hunting and military inspired) entered civilian wear a long long long time ago, same with a ton of other military stuff. Peacoats, bomber jackets, jackets of all sorts really. No military service is required to wear them. I would suspect that most men's clothing has a military origin.

It isn't like he bought service medals off ebay and is wearing them around claiming to be in Seal Team 6.

MARPAT is different than a field jacket or cargo pants and I'm telling you Marines will see it as just as egregious as wearing medals.
